About this item

  • CONSISTENT ALL-WEATHER PERFORMANCE: With sintered pads, bikers will enjoy ultimate braking stability while conquering aggressive trails. You can always rely on a consistent feeling of safe and comfortable braking, irrespective of whether you are biking on wet, muddy trails or dry, desert sands. Effortless braking makes your rides more fun and enjoyable.
  • EXTREME TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE: Extremely rugged, sintered construction can withstand high-temperature build-up from constant slamming of brakes. The high metal content ensures resistance to temperatures as high as 850ยฐ - 900ยฐ, a far cry from semi-metallic counterparts. Sintered pads are however squeakier than semi-metallic and organic pads till the pads get hot.
  • COMPATIBLE DISC BRAKES: SHIMANO New Saint from 2009 BR-M810, Zee BR-M640, BR-MT520, Deore BR-MT420, Deore BR-MT6120, Saint BR-M810, Saint BR-M820, SLX BR-M7120, XT BR-M8020, XT BR-M8120, XTR BR-M9120, TEKTRO Auriga Twin + HD-E745, Dorado 4P | HD-E720, Dorado 4P | HD-E725, Orion 4Px2P (front) | HD-M735, Orion | HD-M745, Orion | HD-M750, TRP Quadiem, Quadiem SL, Slate T4
  • RACE APPROVED: Sintered brake pads are specifically built to withstand the grind of continuous braking in racetracks. Heavy-duty braking power is perfect for extreme racing or downhill racing. All Miles Racing brake pads have been subjected to extensive independent studies by testers before coming to market.
  • LONG LASTING: Sintered pads offer unfailing braking power that adventure riders can count on. The iron and copper fortified pads have the highest metallic content among peers. This unique hard compound construction significantly slows down the wear and makes the pads last longer under extreme riding conditions.

Please check the listing drop down for complete list of models and check the bullet points for a complete list of compatible models.
SEMI METALLIC:
High iron and copper content offers better thermal threshold and lower fade than organic brake pads. Special hard compound construction slows down the wear and ensures long life under common driving conditions in urban roads or low impact enduro rides, XC, Trail, E-bike, or dirt rides. They also provide the benefit of less noise and reduced rotor wear than sintered metallic pads.
SINTERED: Highly enduring brake pads are built by fusing metallic particles under very high temperature and pressure, which slows down the wear and ensures long life even under the most strenuous riding conditions. Experience uncompromised performance on wet, muddy, or snowy tracks compared to semi-metallic and organic pads. High-temperature endurance reduces quick heat buildup from continuous braking, offering the safest brake option for aggressive mountain bikers, especially on freerides and downhill.
ORGANIC: Organic brake pads are for the general riders, who do not slam on brakes too much and are looking for comfortable, soft braking at affordable prices. They are great for flat terrain rides, cross country and commuting. Being made of carbon compounds bonded by resin, organic brake pads are softer and quieter, making them great for leisure riding. Not recommended for applications requiring heavy braking as they are not high temperature tolerant. Organic pads work great in dry weather and are not recommended for wet or muddy conditions.
Specifications:
Semi-metallic uses: Urban rides, XC, Dirt, Light Enduro
Sintered uses: Mountain Bike (MTB), Downhill, Freeride, Racing
Organic Uses: Cross country, Commuting, Flat Terrains
Testing: TUV SUD tested / EN 14766
Heat Resistance for Sintered pads: 850ยฐ - 900ยฐ

Sure Shimano Pads Work, they also cost 30% more and last 30% less as well. Iโ€™m sticking to Miles. As I have for the last 2 years. The Semi-Metallic compound on my steed lasts approximately 2500 miles before needing to be swapped out - front & rear. No Fading, Easy Modulation, Confident Grabbing under extreme/emergency and wet braking. I weigh 190lbs on a steel gravel bike and they are awesome. I also live in the mountains of Colorado. Trust me no fancy cooling fins needed - convection simply works. Cooling fins are for Christmas trees - strictly decoration! Give these a shot they simply work - plus the turquoise color looks cool in the caliper!

Blow through these sooooo fast. Compound was OK breaking performance but longevity is nowhere near enough. Possibly OK if you don't have any long steep hills around

I bought these to replace the metallic compound brake pads on my electric bike because I wanted semi metallic for more bite. My issue with these Miles pads is how thin the pad material is. I've had the metallic pads on my bike for almost 2 years and they have the same amount of pad left of them as this brand new miles pads come with. I'll update this review after I install the pads, break them in and test them out.

After buying 2 sets of braking pads from SHIMANO (they told me it was an original product of Shimano). Their pads fail to stop my bike on the mountains of the Andes. Then after a while the Shimano pads produce a loud screeching sound in wich it made me believe that it was the rear brake disk that cause my problems and after replacing the rear brake disk I still had the same problems.Yesterday I got my MILES pads from the states and after installing the pads it made a huge different. I can now stop my bike just by using the rear brake and with out the dreadful screeching sound. Will be replacing soon my from brakes soon. Love this GERMAN product

Wasn't sure what to expect. Got one set of these to try as a TRP DH-R Evo replacement pad. These are AWSOME. Fit perfectly, bedded in strait away, felt no different than the TRP's and provided tons of stopping power... best of all, they lasted exactly the same amount of kms as the TRP's. I got right about 750 kms on both. Zero complaints and about half the cost of either a TRP or Shimano option. I have ordered a bunch more for my personal inventory so I alway have a set on hand and ready to go. Would give 10 stars if amazon would let me :)

My new Saint brakes are awesome except.....The OEM Saint brake pads need to be used much more aggressively than I ride most of the time. I decided to try these Miles Semi-metallic pads because I love the feel of the Saint levers and calipers but I don't ride hard enough to keep the OEM Shimano pads from glazing. The Miles pads really work well. Modulation for my style of riding is much improved with the Miles brake pads. The Miles pads are quiet and smooth and no glazing. Their stopping power is great and doesn't change. Very happy with these brake pads!

Best wearing and stopping power available; I have tried everything out there. They grab "cold" well for stunting/long wheelies and do not over heat/fade like 99% of the competition under extreme abuse. I have burnt the paint off a set bombing nasty single track with my 120lb Surron and my 200lbs on top; but they didn't fail or fade. I will ALWAYS come back for these; I am searching for a rotor that will not warp from the abuse these pads can dish out. Miles has literally saved my life/body time and time again, brakes are no joke bombing 300+ pounds at 40MPH+ down dirt/rock trails and I completely TRUST these pads. A++ 11/10
