This adult version of an aspirator works pretty well. I kind of figured there must be something you could use on yourself and this is it. Very valuable in allergy season for me when even the neti pot isn't enough. Well made, good materials, works as promised.

The ability to suck on the tube, in my opinion, offers a greater degree of control over squeeze bulb aspirator. The one that we have isn't see through, so it's difficult to tell what's coming out of the baby's nose. We had to use this on our 20 month old this week, who is suffering from a runny/stuffy nose, and prefer the ease of use and visibility of the Braun.I like that this aspirator is made of clear plastic pieces so you can see exactly what's happening with the fluid extraction process. It comes in an eco-friendly paper box, with no plastic packaging to throw away.I wish that it also came with a long handled wire brush for cleaning the inside of the tube. I'll suppose our kindergartener's pipe cleaners from art class would work. I'll be handwashing, since this is the only way to be sure that the apparatus is thoroughly cleaned. The parts can be boiled to disinfect.The instructions say to replace the sponge filter after every use, but you could wash and re-use to a certain point, since its purpose is for your convenience and not the hygiene of the baby (so you don't get mucus in your mouth). Extra inserts are sold in 40 packs:
