This slicer is functional. It is plastic so it is lightweight. The directions could expound more on the different uses. Good value.

bought it for homemake bread, it is too small for that, it is for small loafs. but does cut perfect slices , when I make small loafs it is great. elisa

A good product, susinct, and well designed. I gave it a 4 because the slat for the knife should be metal. The first couple of slices came out very well but then the knife began to slice the slat side plastic as well.

Did not work for me, first time I used it my bread knife lept getting cauggt on the plastic and cutting into is which then made it even worse on the second slice. Terrible.

"Bread slicer , collapsible design by Shun-Kang"Like all USA -- made in China, this "device" is built much more to be "collapsible" in the process of cutting bread, than FUNCTIONAL.It's really collapsible, but this "feature" overpower it's real goal -- to cut bread without damaging your fingers.On the contrary? it is very unstable and easily moving by only light moving of cutting SHARP knife. As result -- your cut more successfully your hand, than the bread!To make it stable and NOT crawling about on the table -- for such "high intellectual" problem the brain of Chine engineers is visibly not suited.My simple "home-made Reconstruction" of this junk made it FUNCTIONAL and secure at last!
