This works in a pinch. You get what you paid for. You put it together but it doesn’t stay together unless you hold it while cutting the bread.

I didn't like how flimsy it was. While I sliced bread, I had to concentrate on holding this together, as well as keeping the knife from getting stuck in the holes between the slices.

I bought this devise to see how this type of slicer works. It works really good and cuts the bread into even thick slices as shown in photo. You can load from both sides if needed if one loaf is longer. The only thing did not like is it is made from plastic instead of stainless steel. It does work so I can use it on a camping trip as well. The type of slicer works.

The back piece was too narrow to fit in the slots properly.
