CLP is the way to go for all gun cleaning. Probably would be good for the sewing machine or any fine machines.

Great cleaner and lubricant for whole gun cleaning. Will never use anything else.

It is CLP, When I was a US Marine, it was the only thing we were allowed to use on our rifles. If the men of Chesty Puller, Smedley Butler and old Dan Daly think it is worthy, who am I to argue?

I have an older rifle I found in an old closet while cleaning up for a relative with a little surface rust. Soaked it in Break Free, and a light going over with a brass brush cleaned it up beautifully. I always used other CLP products - tried this because it was supposed to remove rust. I have to say it does what it says.Going over other firearms that I thought were clean with this product I am surprised at how dirty patches and cleaning rags get. A bit pricey but I would say it is worth it. Likely have found a new go to CLP.

CLP is great stuff, works well, does what it's supposed to do. However, it only works if you can get the entire bottle...Amazon shipped the 2 oz bottle without taping the top. The cap fell off and half the bottle contents leaked in the Amazon plastic bag. Nice.Amazon - you can do the minimum here and tape the bottle top to the bottle.

So, break free is the standard for gunsBut I was thinking... Why not use it in place of wd40? I'm an EMT, I use this to oil my flat, the clips on the radios in the ambulance, shoot, anything metal on metal.Works pretty great, everything is super slick now
