Needed a new gas cap because original came off and mowed over it. This replacement was a perfect fit.

Performance was like the original, seals well, not bad priced, fit on my toro mower, and easy to install.

Even though it’s OEM, it didn’t fit tightly at all , barely fits I would say, with minimal rattle it would come loose, with the engines vibration it would come loose and leak fuel all over the mower. It’s frustrating . Can’t find any other seller or maker that make these caps , not even the original cap that came with the mower was snug anyways, what the hell Toro? The reason we are buying these is because the original sucked and now they selling us the replacement sucks as well? Big scam I would say. I had to keep the cap down with a Velcro band over the cap screwed to the engine cover to keep the cap from falling and getting run over by the mower again . Can’t you make a screw down cap Toro?

First of all I'm not blaming the supplier. The item arrived quickly and was exactly what I ordered. The problem is... it's too loose. Others have said similar things. But frankly, how do you know until you try it? How many brands of mowers are there that use Briggs & Stratton engines? How many different engine models? I assume a lot. I bought a brand new Toro mower about 3 years ago. No problem with the gas cap until just the other day. I removed it to see how much fuel I had and then quickly reattached it like always. Mine was a bit different from the replacement item I just bought. It didn't have the little plastic tether strap and it just looked a bit different. I don't even know how I lost it but I mowed the grass like I've done dozens and dozens of times. When I returned to the garage I noticed it was missing. I walked the entier width and breathe of my yard looking for the darn thing. I never heard anything like a kerchunk if it had gotten gobbled up under the mower. Assumed it just fell off. Couldn't find it. Just completely disappeared. Couldn't imagine why though. The original cap screwed on pretty tight. Complete mystery.I noticed the difference in tightness immediately. If I was able to loose the other one this new one has no chance... except for the tether. At least if it pops off it won't go flying into the 4th dimension somewhere. In closing... I called Toro first. No good. They don't provide support for the engine even though it's their name on the front of the mower. I went to the Briggs & Stratton website and did a thorough search for the user manual for my model engine. What looked like the original cap was no longer available. The secondary option was a cap with the tether. Did a search based off that particular part number which lead me here. I have no reason to believe I ordered the wrong thing. And again... based on other comments we all have the same exact problem. I actually worry about gas fumes leaking out it's that loose. Maybe I'll just go out and buy one of those fancy new electric mowers.

I have a crappy tire yardworks lawnmower with a Briggs motor. Took a chance with this purchase, but got lucky! Quick shipping.

The replacement cap has the same problem the first one had. Cutting the grass under some bushes and trees can cause the cap to unscrew and fall off. The original cap came off the gas tank and the tether didn't hold so the cap went under the mower and got chewed up a little bit.The tether on the replacement cap is still not a good design but I now know what can happen so I visually check on the cap more often and tighten it if it seems loose. A lesson has been learned.

This lawn mower gas cap is a tighter fit than the previous one that came with the mower. The original crab is very loose and fell off I didn't see it ran over it how to replace it. Good product for the money and it was received very quickly.

Vraiment la pièce d'origine dans son emballage Briggs et Statton. Impeccable malgré le délai, tout cela à cause du Covid-19.Merci au marchand qui travaillait quand même.

Somehow, my old gas cap on my Toro 22 inch push mower came off while mowing and after we found it, the inner seal was gone and the cap no longer fit properly. I had no idea which cap to purchase to replace it but I saw a recommendation that said if it the Amazon photo looks exactly the same, it's the right one. I took that advice, purchased this cap and it fit easily! Had it not been for Amazon, I would have had a hard time finding a replacement. (A lawnmower shop? How much would that have cost?)Update after a year: Time flies when your mowing the lawn! I purchased this cap because the old one fell off. This new one has been doing great and still goes on and off with ease and seals perfectly! Let's face it, a lawn mower cap only has one job and it's not that hard... But it does it well!
