Different design than the original that was in a Craftsman DLT (and LT) 2000 riding mower, but it's exact length and works perfectly. The one that comes up on a search as being correct, is not, it's way too long. This one is perfect and works/registers level perfectly. Took a few tries of the wrong one, send back, try another that Amazon parts checker says fits, nope, try this one and found a winner. Will update review if it fails.

Gauge is upside down when tightened up. Totally inaccurate. Reads 1/3 full on full tank. No way to adjust it to turn face so it is readable. Float does not adjust up and down properly to show accurate reading.DO NOT BUY.

This unit fits very nicely as a replacement in my old Bolens garden tractor fuel tank. The old one was unreadable due to clouding of the lens. This one fits perfectly but seems a little off on the reading of how much fuel is really in the tank. Reads a little below 1/2, and when I measure it, it is a little above 1/2. Better to be safe than sorry.

Good cap, does the job. Fuel level not accurate as I would have needed one with a longer float assembly for my tractor, but at over double the price for legit JD one, it's not worth it. I'll take cheap and good enough. Not like I'm going to be miles from home with it or something, I can always walk back to fuel. Would be accurate if this was the proper replacement for your tractor.
