Very pleased to receive an actual Genuine Briggs & Stratton filter sent in a sealedB&S plastic page complete with B&S logo. I placed the order as sold by Amazon and fulfilled/shippedby Amazon. Didn't want to gamble from another seller getting a non-genuine B&S part.You can find here on Amazon generic knock offs in a multi-pack for around the same money whereyou get a bunch of them ...BUT... I bought this for the peace of mind not having to worry if theknock offs would be good or hold up. I went 3 years on my last B&S filter and the mower engineran fine. Just figured after 3 years better to put on a new one.

Engine was sputtering and thought maybe it was a little moisture in my gas. A little HEET, and this new gas filter did the trick. Mower engine is running like a champ again!

After looking on the internet to see how to change a fuel filter, I went about doing it with pretty much no issue. Started my lawn tractor, drove it around, then as I got back to the garage it stalled and would not restart. What did I do wrong? I checked the filter, pointing the right direction. Fuel lines don't seem to be leaking. Long story short lawn tractor works better with gas in the fuel tank and the filter works just fine.

I only recently installed it on a 10 year old B&S engine and it fit. Time will tell how well it functions, but it seems durable and it was inexpensive. It was a little easier to see the sediment that accumulated on the filter and the fuel fill level on my original filter. Not a deal breaker though.
