For the price (about half to a third of name brand filters), it appears to be of good quality, at least externally. The exterior is powder coated rather than plated, but that should not affect its life to any significant degree. For my application (1996 Ford Ranger), the connections were a little snug, probably because the powder coating was not accounted for in the connection dimensions. Sometimes the thickness of a coating is important, but snug is good on push-on fittings. New plastic retaining clips were included in the box, as well. If it filters and I have no reason to suspect it won't, it's a great buy.

I use this filter on my Ford truck, and I keep a spare. But I needed a in-line filter for 30HP industrial engine and this worked great with 5/16 fuel line.

Made it fit for a 2000 ford e150. The 2000 year had 2 different filters this one and a thinner one. My van required the thinner one. Had to be creative and zap strap this to make it safe. Make sure to check if your truck van has a split year when getting parts.

Great replacement for my F-150 that the fuel filter previously installed (probably original to the vehicle) had very SHORT inlet and outlet tubes (maybe and inch or so) on each end.FYI - AVOID purchasing short inlet-outlet tube fuel filters for those replacing fuel filters on Ford F150s.They are a PITA to try to remove and replace as FORD's (not-at-all) fuel line "quick" disconnects have limited clearance on the F150 and requires a special tool (that didn't work) or even with an improvised tool (cut down Sharpie marker Cap).For my '99 F150, I finally had to CUT THE OLD ONE OUT with a mini-hack saw then pop the cut tube out of the quick connect with the special disconnect tool.Not the safest or cleanest operation.These ECOGARD fuel filters with the longer inlet and outlet tubes made it easier to install and I anticipate easier to remove in the future.I rated this a 5 for easy to install as I attribute the difficulty of installation/removal was a fault of Ford Motor Company engineering and not this replacement fuel filter. out and will make it easier to change in the future.
