Works well in torrential rain but not so well underwater.

Excellent housing, only wish the lens cover was able to pivot up and down like the Brinno camera lens. You're stuck with a straight on shot with this unless it's tripod mounted so you can pivot using the tripod head. Other than that, I've used this housing in the driving rain and during a snowstorm - kept the camera dry as a bone.

This camera is so useful for recording outdoor activities of weather, birds animals etc and really needs a protective cover. This cover does a very good job at keeping the camera safe and waterproof.

I used it with a camera to take photos of mortars sending shells up during a fireworks display. Got the great closeup shots I have been looking to get for some time.

I purchased this to enclose my Brinno camera. I wanted to set my camera up outdoors on a potato field to document crop growth. The potatoes are irrigated twice every week so I needed something to keep the camera dry and this has done the job.

works good. Only on/off switch is not accessible. Is the lens cover resistant to scratch. Will find out someday soon.

Unit is resistant to weather but is not leak proof. So don't use this for scuba diving. However, heavy rains don't penetrate. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because you have to open the housing to turn the camera on or off. Kind of a pain if you are in the elements already. I used a suction cup unit to attach the housing to the top of the car since the housing has a standard camera mount hole like you have on every camera to attach to a tripod. For safety there are a few tabs with holes that you can attached a safety string to in case the unit moves. Important piece of mind if you drive at freeway speeds. I would recommend buying this unit if you purchase the Brinno TLC200 Time Lapse camera.

A perfect addition to your Brinno camera, giving you access to all the functions and at the same time protecting your camera from the weather elements. I has 4 holes so you can attach small hooks to fix it in place and secure it or just use the bottom screw-hole for tripod. It closes shut and gives you a peace of mind while shooting your project.Only drawback: you cannot adjust the lens (up-down) while using this case, so you need to move the whole camera using a tripod or other means of securing it in place, in order to face your subject/project you wanna shoot.A must have for the Brinno TLC200, no second thoughts!

This is great if you are using the camera outside and need to keep it safe from the elements. A couple of points to note - the lens cannot be moved inside the case to you need to angle the case to desired point. Overcome with a tripod. Secondly when recording the picture is very slightly encroached in each corner by the casing. No workaround for that one. When the camera is inside the case you can still operate the buttons without opening the case which is great and explains the price of the unit - at first I thought that it was expensive for a moulded plastic case but when you see the design you will appreciate why the cost. Would have been 5* if not for the slight cropping of the image when using the case.

Case is made of high quality plastic. It feels sturdy and has good weather seals. My only complaint is that when used with the wide angle lense you can see the slight ring of the lense around the corners of the video. This is because it holds the lense a bit too far from the camera. Still usable, but does detract from wide angle shooting. A slight design change could eliminate this I'm sure.
