While I don't know if I would take my OP3 into the deep, I do appreciate the fact that this can allow you to use the OP3 in inclement weather. One of the weak points of the OP3 is that it is not impervious to even light rain, this device provides enough weather resistance to allow the use of the OP3 in less-than-ideal weather conditions. For me, the cost of the OP3 is too dear to risk flooding at 100' depth but this case can protect your investment in the rain, at the beach, or when out on the water. For diving, I will stick with my older action camera and housing which is a better fit for that application IMO.

If you line the gimbal up ok it doesn't get in the way of filming, but depending on your application the dome stay may be a better fit for you. For me? This worked great and made the camera waterproof enough to go paddle boarding with and not worry about. This is just like most dive cases I have had, and some time I will have to test how well it does when diving but so far no issues when submerged in water or heavily splashed
