I bought this to troubleshoot my old doorbell transformer. I remove the old one and installed this and it worked. There isn't much else to say other than that it works, given how simple doorbell transformers are.

Bought this after purchasing a few in the local store that didn't take care of the problem with a doorbell. This does cost more but it did take care of the "buzzing". Guess you get what you pay for! Costs a lot more since we had to throw away the other transformers.

One would think that all doorbell transformers are the same. I learned that is definitely not the case. I picked up a doorbell transformer from the local hardware store the mounting system did not allow the transformer to be securely mounted (used a screw that was supposed to retain it against the hole in the box) and the thing hummed louder than my aquarium air pump rooms away...I then set out on a quest for a transformer I knew would mount securely and most likely be low noise. This transformer is all of those things. It is also UL listed which is also nice.Do not hesitate to buy if you are looking for a typical 10VA doorbell transformer.
