Replace old Brown range hood. Replacement went fairly well. Bought a damage package one Amazon,$ 20.00 cheaper than big box stores. No damage on product. Works great.

I am not a professional contractor, rather just an average home owner that is willing to tackle some of the more basic upgrades and repairs. (Sometimes forced upon me by living in a remote area of the country.) This install was a replacement for the same make (Broan) and model that was already in my kitchen, but the fan on that one gave up the ghost a few weeks ago. I installed the old one only about 5 years ago. It was just too easy to buy the same hood than it would have been to figure out which other one might fit but would maybe last a little longer.Even though I was able to recycle the old one, I wish things would last longer...This is a nice looking hood and the fan is currently doing a great job. It's amazing how much an exhaust fan can be appreciated when you don't have one. Total installation time was definitely no longer than 15 minutes including gathering all the tools needed and the walking time back and forth to the breaker box to turn off the electricity - but again, this was a replacement of the same exact hood.
