The printing, copy and scan quality are fine. But the features that most printers have are missing: no auto-feed for copying (i.e. you have to manually place every page on the glass); not automatic dual-side printing (i.e. you have to remove printed page one and manually reinsert - correctly! - into the paper tray). Inconvenient!

This was easy to set up, compact, nice to look at. Printed 5 pages with minimal text, one large word in color. It was so slow I had to go do other chores before it was done. OK, finally it's done - the black was not quite black and the color was faded back. Go to print again on another day. Computer can't find the printer! It's connected with a cable, not wifi. No amount of troubleshooting will make the printer visible to my computer. Returned.

Had HP printers for 40 years, but when I needed a replacement this time, the HP that I ordered and received was defective and wouldn't connect to my computer via my wi-fi. Returned it and ordered another with the same result. Decided to change to a Brother which was the Amazon Choice. Connection was simple and it has worked flawlessly. I feel that HP has lost it's edge in the market and needs to re-examine it's quality control. I have high hopes that this Brother will perform well and fill my needs for years to come.

Considering all the negative reviews, I thought it was going to be a dud. Imagine my surprise when the only thing wrong with this printer is that you need the driver and the printer cord for it to work.The manual does not tell you that, so you may think it won't work.You can purchase the printer cord on Amazon for around $10.Once you fix it up, it is an amazing printer that comes with enough ink for over 1000 pages or 1 year.Would definitely recommend!! 🤩👍

We got rid of our old HP printer because we always had to replace the ink. Then we bought an Epson which was THE WORST PRINTER! If I wanted to print 2-sided, it would print front and back on the SAME SIDE! The print was SO SMALL because everything was squished on one side of the page, it was basically illegible.We then went online to see which printer got the best reviews, and (I think, don't quote me) first, second and third places all went to Brother. The ink it uses will print 1,600 pages using black ink and 400-500 using colored ink! If I want to print front and back on one page, it does just that.

This is my first color Brother printer. I am very pleased with the quality of print using this printer. Set up was easy and all is working very well indeed.
