Now, this product specifically mentions snare drums. I however, got creative one day while jamming with a friend, and thought: who needs towels? I have these mufflers! I went mad with power, attaching them everywhere, trying new combinations of tension and placement.When the dust had settled, my kit had achieved a different sound. I'd really torqued the tension down until the pad was pressing right against the skins, so there was very little resonance, which suited my slappy basement. It worked for what I needed.I attached the mufflers over the hoop, on top of the drums. I think they're actually supposed to go inside but I didn't do that. Be gentle and patient if you don't want to scratch your drums up. Enjoy!
