I have used such a cage in a previous house and hoped this would match it for usefulness. This item is smart, sturdy and large enough to protect the newspaper delivery as well as post. The screws for attachment are not likely to be lost in transit. I wasn't the one who fixed the cage to the door, but I don't think it would be too difficult. I chose the black cage and found it a good match for my door furniture. I am very pleased with the purchase.
