I bought one to test under our Bunn commercial brewer at home. It fits perfectly, brews coffee right through the lid, and keeps the coffee hot for at least 3 hours. (As long as a pot lasts with my wife!) I ordered 5 more for use at church so we don't have to have coffeemakers in the sanctuary or library and don't have to deal with pouring hot coffee from a glass carafe into a plastic insulated carafe to sort-of keep warm. Remember to leave the warmer OFF when using this insulated carafe.

My trusty Bunn Commercial's VP17-1 hot plate began getting a little too hot (180 degrees) so we wondered if this thermal carafe would fit on top of the plate (turned OFF of course). Perfect fit. We unboxed and washed it, then I ran a pot of hot water through the coffee maker. 14 hours later when I remembered to empty the water was still hot enough to make steam. Unbelievable. It is significantly heavier and less balanced than a standard glass carafe which makes pouring a little more difficult.If there is one thing I'd change about the coffee maker it would be the "only on-or-off" of the warmer, so this solves that problem forever.

This product keeps your coffee or what ever other hot drink you brew very warm for a long time. The brew through lid ensure that only your drink goes into the pot.The only two issues I have are; when pouring you can’t get out every single drop without removing the lid and almost completely inverting the pot, and the opening on the pot where the lid goes is a little small so it makes it harder, clean the pot without using a long handled scrubbing tool.

I do not normally leave reviews, but after trying many types of coffee carafes and failing for years to find a carafe that did not drip, kept the coffee hot, fit a Melitta-type drip cone, did not have a fragile latch, and was easy to pour, this one warrants 6+ stars, if feasible. We are continually amazed at this product and have had it about 2 months. It does not drip after pouring, no sopping up coffee on the table, the pour over drip cone easily and firmly snaps into the neck, and even more amazing is you just tip and pour. The engineering on this one deserves some serious credit. I've thought of buying a backup just in case..... Kudos to Bunn!

My husband is especially happy because he can make a pot of coffee, and have one cup of coffee before going to Mass and have a second cup when he arrives home. A childhood friend who worked for our fire department said that using a thermal carafe was much safer than using the hotplate to keep the coffee warm.

Put hot water in at 8am, and still quite hot enough to steep tea at 6pm. It's cool to the touch on the outside so you know it keeps the heat in!
