1st person perspective view through the sight

Bright 4 MOA Dot with Exceptional Battery Life

The point-source LED on the Bushnell RXS-100 Reflex Sight creates a clean beam that produces a strong 4 MOA dot without wasting battery life, offering 5,000 hours of use on the middle brightness setting. When it is time to replace the battery, a side-loading door ensures you don’t have to remove the unit from the firearm for installation, which allows you to retain your zero. Eight brightness settings allow for clear daylight viewing and excellent nighttime visibility.

I purchased this for a rimfire 22 rifle for casual plinking. It works great, the red dot is crisp but there is some very light red spots that will appear in the field of view sometimes. The spots haven't interfered with the sight/dot picture but they are noticeable. I'm not planning on heavy use of this red dot, it has performed well on several range sessions shooting 100s of rounds. For the price, about $50 during end of year sales, I've been pleased with this purchase.

This is a nice well-built red dot reflex sight. The battery slides in from the side so it's easy to replace and is a easy to find 2032. I mounted this on a colt 45 rifle with picatinny rail which is a no brainier easy to do. I bore sighted before going to range. I center adjusted at 15 yards the elevation was close so moved to 25 to zero in just couple shots. Then at 50 yards just a minor tweaking. I shot 50 rounds, and it stayed pinpoint accurate. I have been out several more times and this rifle has stayed in adjustment I haven't had to make any adjustments. The red dot has stayed nice and bright easy to pick up, it does wash out a bit if the early morning sun is coming at you but is still visible!

The rubber pads on the side fell off after first use at the range. Realized first one fell off after one shot on my little .380acp and then later found it after a few dumps. Then lost both after a few more mag dumps. It still works but it looks like doodoo. I almost bought another one for my s&w mp10mm but my buddy recommended an off brand one and it’s handled 9mm, 5.7x28, 10mm and put it on an adapter and handled 5.56. Im gonna try to look for the brand again. But yeah I don’t recommend this one

Grabbed one of these when I found out that I couldn't put my unused 507k onto my new TX22 competition. While I wouldn't use one of these for a full size caliber, it seems to serve the intended function just fine on my .22lr. I've used it a couple times now and it seems to hold zero through a shooting session. I had to adjust it the second time I took it out, but I may not have gotten the zero dialed in right on the first session; so it's too early to tell if it is having issues holding zero right now. I'm assuming the dot is fine and it was operator error, but will update the review if I have issues later.Update after 9 months of use: It has held up fine over 9 months or so on my .22 pistol. However, I have found that the dot does not get as bright as I want it for shooting in bright sunlight. I really need it to go a couple clicks brighter. It did hold zero on my .22, so I have no complaints there. However, after using it for a while, I'm dropping a star (down to 3) for a few reasons. 1. It feels cheap. like really cheap. Almost all my other dots are Holosuns, and compared to those, this one feels like it'll break if you breathe on it wrong. 2. The window is not big enough. It has enough width, but the height feels very cramped and I would often "lose" the dot just above the window. 3. the glass has a blue tint to it. My Holosuns all have very clear glass, but in comparison, this one is very blue. This reduces visible light through it which can make it slightly more difficult to focus on the target with both eyes.In summary, it's not bad, but if I were to buy an entry level optic at this point, I'd probably get a Cyelee or just save up for another Holosun.

The criteria for Brightness, Accuracy and Ease of install were all scored high. But overall only 1 star. Here's how it happened. The gun was in an absolute firm vise. Only the Bolt Carrier Group cycles in the SW22 Victory. The red dot is solid mounted to the barrel and BCG shroud which are one assembly. The RSX-100 was mounted via Weaver / Picatinny clamp onto the Picatinny rail provided with the SW22 Victory. It took three 2-shot rounds to adjust the RXS-100. With a new target, I fired three more rounds from the vise. These are the 3 tight shots you see in the 9 ring. The vise is at 10 yds. The other 7 were fired from hand at 7 yds. I went to reload, then to adjust dot brightness but the adjustment pads were gone! They were on the ground at my feet (thankfully on concrete, not grass). You cannot adjust brightness or turn the red dot on or off without these pads. Looking closely at these pads, they just set into a recess and were not glued. There's no molding in the pads to catch onto the red dot frame around those openings! I considered putting electrician's tape over them, to live with this sight since the Black Friday price was so good. But in reconsideration, this is just not right. Why should I accept this shortcoming at any price?! I returned them to Amazon. I know Bushnell would replace the sight, but why go through that time delay and hassle?

Pros: Easy to install, brightness was good. Accuracy was amazing.Cons: Used only 2 different times. Worked perfectly the first time. Second range day it broke on my firearm. The glass popped off and I can no longer use it.The sight only survived about 200 rounds and done. I’d suggest you get a durable sight. Currently looking at Halosun brand. You pay for what you get. Buy cheaper option it won’t last. Spend a little more it will.

This thing is pretty great, especially for the cost of entry. You get a red dot that's plenty durable, plenty bright, and even has a few extras that you might not expect. For instance, the battery compartment is located on the side which means you don't have to remove the sight for a battery swap. And there is also an included picatinny rail adapter so you can mount it that way as well. The one issue with this sight is that it's a bit on the thick side so if you pistol mount it even heightened co-witness sights won't clear it. But that's a relatively small compromise to make considering everything else you get in this package.
