This is one heavy duty mat. Does have a smell of rubber when new but disappears in a few weeks. This mat will be able to stand up to the outdoors.

It occurred to me, after I had ordered this truck bed cover, that since it is not sealed to the truck bed, water is still going to get in around it's edges and the truck bed is still going to rust. The only viable solution to this is a spray-on bed-liner that seals to the bed and has no edges. It must have been kismet in my corner because when I went to cancel my order, my account notified me that this item had been lost in delivery. Karma knew before I did that buying this was NOT an answer to my need.

Just received this mat today for my 2024 Maverick This is a thick, heavy duty product that will fit your truck perfectly and will surely protect your truck bed. It does have a texture to it and will prevent items from sliding around. As this is recycled rubber, there are flecks of what appear to be tire cords in the rubber in spots. For me that's just fine. This is a made in USA product that is using rubber that doesn't make it into a landfill somewhere. That's a good thing. If you are looking for a shiny, smooth, perfectly molded, blemish free bed mat, this is not for you. I highly recommend.

I wanted a liner to keep things from sliding around and protect the bed. This one is thick recycled rubber. Fits great and has cut outs for the tie-down rings, so no need to modify. Only complaint is a couple minor cosmetic defects rr I would give this a 5.- on spot with off color material, another just a bit rough or porous. BUT, as expected, its dirty after a couple weeks in the bed and the cosmetics don't matter. I expect it will hold up really well and is cheap to replace if it every wears out or I want something different.
