First of all, this filter came with the correct packaging and authenticity stickers that you can check with the code for your product on the B+W website. So, this filter was truly authentic. For a 112mm filter, it is a little tall, about 11mm from top of frame to the bottom of thread. When it is screwed into the lens, it stands about 6mm above the edge of the lens. Since the frame is brass it is a little heavy but like any B+W filter it is solid and threads easily on the filter ring. The glass is as usual for B+W, especially with that fantasic nano coating whihc makes it very easy to clean and clear of dust. I'm quite happy with this purchase for my Canon 100-300mm f/2.8. And with Amazon I got a great price that was significantly less than others.
