Works great for the intended use. My other fuel pump I had was junk but this one seems better quality. Used it once and it seems to be good quality.

This is an effective little fuel pump that runs on 4 AA batteries. It is quite simple to use, and the pump itself is smooth and quiet when operating. The inclusion of three separate style fuel tank fittings is a plus.The manufacturer's claim of 2.4 GPM flow rate is a bit of a stretch, at least in my experience...more like .5 to 1 GPM when I've used the pump, in ideal conditions. The auto-shutoff feature has worked flawlessly so far. The yellow clip that secures the nozzle to the receiver (vehicle, fuel receptacle) inlet strikes me as a near-future point of failure, but it's holding up so far. The status indicator LED between the ON and OFF buttons is far too dim to see in high light conditions. As far as I can tell, there is no internally-supplied negative pressure relief (vent) system, so the pump may attempt to collapse newer fuel receptacles that don't have a separate vent hole.Good product, overall, with some room for improvement and questionable performance specs.

This pump came with 3 adapters but sadly it didn't include one for the old military style Jerry Can. I keep several Jerry cans filled with treated gas for my backup generator. Every few years I dump the gas into my vehicles and refill with fresh gas. It was always a challenge to get the metal flex nozzle into the fill tube and empty the can without scratching any paint. I found the proper adapter on Amazon from a company that makes upgraded filling nozzles and it worked perfectly. This will make this job so much easier. Other reviewers have stated that the flow is low when filling from the ground so I plan on putting the gas cans on a rolling cart first, easier all around.I also used it to drain the tanks from my generator and pressure washer for storage, very easy.

The pump works OK along as you don't lift the discharge tube more than a couple of inches above the pump...

Would give 5 stars if it came with a battery like other models. But works as it should. No idea how long itll last pumping diesel through it but time will tell

I used this one time, and it died. I have had kero heaters for years and have always used these pumps to fill them. This is the first time I have had one die. I replaced the batteries twice just in case that was the issue but it just won't work.
