This is a really nice tripod bag (or in my situation, a case for a medium size light stand). The external material is high quality and, most impressively, the padding is high density foam. I like everything about it but it could have an exterior pocket (there is an interior pocket.) I have several tripod bags and this is one of the nicer ones.

I own a lot of tripods. Some of them came with a case (most of the newer ones do) and some did not. Some have minimal padding while others are well padded and protect their contents very well. This case is the latter, having a thick layer of foam between the outer and inner fabric which I would consider the perfect thickness.The waterproof Oxford cloth on the outside is rugged and durable and the case has both a shoulder strap and hand straps that Velcro together. The zipper is also larger than on some cases and shouldn't you any problems.It will hold a 39" full-size professional video tripod without a problem or three 39" professional light stands. I can't see how anyone could be disappointed
