Works perfectly to attach a tether to my camera cage when shooting photos/video from a tree. I screwed it directly into my Smallrig cage and tied a paracord tether to it to leash my camera to myself while elevated.

I got them mainly for my action camera when I carry it around. The D-ring fits and works fine. The strap feels stable that I can wrap it around my wrist and secure the action camera. Works well for what it's designed for.
