It is a pretty well built water dispenser, it looks in the pictures less bulky and more streamlined, but in person it is the same size as the other brands on Amazon, one thing that is not thought of is, the inability to put the water back into the container if the dog is not ready to drink. if I offer water to my dog five times he may drink once, so with this dispenser, you would need to dump which is otherwise good and reusable. I think I’m going to send this back and get the ones that you could do that with, as far as quality it seems pretty good and also the folding mechanism might malfunction in the long run.

So I take both my dog and my cat for walks with my daughter, and I usually just bring a collapsible bowl, and pour my own water in it. But too often I end up running out of water after sharing with them, so this ensures that even if I run out of water, they will have their own, plus I don’t have to share my ice water with them anymore LOL.I love the design of this compared to the collapsible water bottle style which doesn't stay collapsed at all when filled with water and hung from a bag. This is just perfect! I do wish the water dispensed into the dish a little faster, but it's not the worst thing ever.Overall, I really like this water container and dish for my fur babies. I will be using it all summer for sure, and hopefully for years to come!! I also appreciate that they included a little hanging cord, so you can attach it to pretty much anything by looping the container through the strap. I would definitely Recommend this portable pet water container with collapsible built in dish!!!I hope My Review has been Helpful!! 😊👍

Took me a bit to figure out how it functioned.1) The main water tank is filled.2) The base is swung out to revel a small holding area for water. (Also swung out to access the plug to fill water into the tank.)3) Then there's a tab, a button, that allows water to flow into the small holding area.What I don't like:1) A dog is going to have to be very smart, and trained, to know to press that tab, to refill that water holding area. (More than likely, a human will have to do that for them.)2) That holding area for water is really small. My toy breed might be satisfied with one filling. But, a larger breed will not.So, I really don't know if it can be considered "better than" the standard canteen bottle with cup. Lot of fancy for something that is normally quite simple.
