We used this for a hot water heater on our first tent camping trip as a family. It never missed a beat. On a good side note. Make sure that you remove the little plugs when testing it out. I thought that something was wrong with it right out of the box come to find out it was me not the pump:)

Pump is great, included hoses are a bit short but they get the job done. As far as the power cords that are part of the bundle my 12v lighter plug overheated and melted during the first use. Was able to pull apart and replace the fuse and get it going again but be careful on intermittent use and check the plug. As others have said, not the quietest pump and it does vibrate pretty good. Gets the job done though.

I had a similar pump for my camplux shower. I made my setup with brass quick disconnects and such. I went to test everything before hunting season and wouldn't you know it, the pump ran for maybe 3 seconds before seizing. I ordered this VERY last minute. I wasn't keen on going back to the plastic fittings, but what could I do? I have a Camp Lux shower head and it was less than impressive, Well, I guess it was the pump I was using because the Pressure is amazing. This thing pumps up to pressure and then shuts off. Then, when you open the shower head valve, You're absolutely blasted with VERY acceptable water pressure, better than most hotels by a large margin. The battery clamp lead is a bit too short for my liking, however, the folks at camplux saw with to give a LONG 12v adapter, which, is what I ended up using after the 1st shower.I have only 2 problems with this setup. The first, the plastic fittings, I don't trust them to last too long. Don't get me wrong, they held up in the cold weather, but there was a constant worry that they may break if one forgot to drain them or pulled on them ever so slightly.The Second, The hoses get quite stiff when the temperature is low, which, may cause the fittings to have more stress on them when the hoses are manipulated. Other than that, I recommend.

I’ve had this pump on my travel trailer for about a year. I just recently redid the trailer and now the pump is inside. The noise was not an issue outside, however inside it’s menacing. Not only that the pump is unreliable. It quits running for undetermined period of time, then chooses to run again. I wound up getting a larger seaflow. higher volume lower pressure much better. Runs everything I need, doesn’t over pressurize my system and it’s almost silent.This set up is good if you need all the component parts. But if you’re all handy, you can probably re-create everything on your own with a better pump.

Well worth the investment when getting a propane water heater from camplux! The quick connect/disconnect hoses make set up and tear down a snap!The camplux system was easy to understand, setup and use! Well worth the money to have the shower head, hoses, connectors, pump, wiring, switch, and everything else required to use my camplux water heater come all together in the correct type and size.Made the entire process a breeze!Now I can get a hot shower aboard our boat with little hassle. And when the freezing temp comes it is a snap to disconnect the hoses so nothing will get damaged or freeze as it’s simple to drain the water heater by removing the hoses.I recommend this kit to everyone using the camplux portable propane heated water heater/shower.The pump is plenty powerful enough to give a good high pressure flow of shower water! The switch snd wires with duze came ready to hook up to my 12volt dc system. It was easy and I did not have to run around from store to store trying to figure out what size this and that I needed as it all came together in a box.If you want ease of setup and take apart, the correct pump pressure, quick connect connectors I recommend this camplux kit as it is designed for the water heater specifically.Cheers!

Great little pump for the money. I did need a bigger hose that went to my portable water heater but that is not a pump problem, that was cause my portable water heater needed more water input to kick on. That was not caused by the pump, the hoses they sent are not the best quality, but an easy fix. This works excellent in my cabin. This is a great pump for the money. The car lighter cord is really long too so it worked excellent for outdoor use. I would buy this again if I needed to.
