Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. *Runs small!*We bought the large size, even though my child was only a size 11 at the time.It's been a great investment, as they've grown into a size 12.5 and the garment still fits perfectly. At the time of this review there is an option to save nearly half price by going with a used pair ($15 versus $25)

You have to buy Capezio if you're going to buy this style of dance shoe. I always used this brand when I danced, so I knew I had to spend a little extra to get these for my little dancer. All the other brands look cheap and fall apart. Don't waste your money on those.. buy these! My daughter is normally about a size 11 in little kids, and they fit her perfect.

My daughter asked me to get her a pair of these footundezz for her ballet summer intensive. She said they would help her spins.She liked them as they did the job as they were supposed to. The fit was good on her foot (she doesn’t like things between her toes). But these weren’t uncomfortable for her to wear.Overall I am pleased she was pleased with this purchase.

The Capezio Little Kid/Big Kid Footundeez H07C Lyrical Shoe is a great choice for any young dancer. These shoes are not only comfortable and lightweight, but they are also easily washable. As a parent, I love that these shoes can be thrown in the washing machine after a long day of dance practice. They hold up well in the wash and come out looking just as good as new. The stretchy material ensures a perfect fit and the grip on the bottom of the shoe provides excellent traction for dancing. My child loves wearing these shoes and says they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Overall, I would highly recommend the Capezio Little Kid/Big Kid Footundeez H07C Lyrical Shoe to any young dancer looking for a comfortable and easy-to-maintain shoe.
