  • Make sure you are using the usb3.0 port of your computer, (if you are using it with a docking station, you can try to replace the docking station or unplug all the cables to reconnect it, and then delete the created capture file and reset it first).

  • Sure, it can provide clear and stable video streaming and turn your camera into a professional webcam. You need to combine with OBS, potplayer, Vmix and other software to realize the video capture/recording/streaming function.

  • Check that the HDMI cable is connected correctly. (If a docking station/extension cable is used, try connecting directly to the computer without these devices to solve the problem.)

  • Re-plug the USB and HDMI cables properly, issue is caused by bad connecting. If it still cannot be resolved, please try replacing the HDMI cable.

  • Add Sources "Audio Input Capture" to get property "Microphone/Aux", unless your PC has "Desktop Audio".(Check your computer's sound settings as instructed in the manual.)

We’ve used it for video capture from an Xbox and switch. You have to make sure it goes in a usb 3.0 port otherwise it won’t work.Setting up in OBS Studio took a while to work, but once in the correct port, selecting the correct inputs works well. It’s connected via a 5m usb cable to my son’s notebook.Keeps him happy.

Great connection and reliable for streaming! I've streamed with a Switch onto a computer where I was running the streaming software on Twitch. It is a bit confusing to figure out how to get the input set up, but once you figure it out this works like a charm. It gives really clear game footage for the stream and I love that it's pink! Great choice for a stream setup if you're looking to venture to other platforms.

I started streaming PS5 games on Twitch for fun a few months back. Not really any high level 4k 60+ FPS productions or anything. I got this card because it was affordable and came in my favorite color. Yes, I chose a piece of hardware because of the color of the casing. 🩷And it worked. The video and audio quality was crystal clear for a 1080p stream at 30FPS. I was able to do two 2 hour streams per week (with a couple of 7 hour streams) for a couple of months. And then it died. 🪦The input started freezing a few minutes (and later seconds) into recording. Tried it on another machine with different cords and it just kept freezing. I may've gotten an earful from friends and streaming enthusiasts when I said I had been streaming for 2+ months on a .>;;If you're doing really short, low resolution and/or one-time recording projects, this card will work. Just don't expect it to go the long haul for you. You get what you pay for, and I got a surprising amount of use out of this card given the price. If you plan on doing more longer term recording or streaming of anything over 1080 at 30FPS, invest in an Elgato card.

this capture card is pretty good! im using it for the switch right now. its only been a day but ill update if something goes wrong. i have a fairly high end pc but i did notice a tiny bit of flicker and the tiniest amount of audio glitch every once in a while (its like a small split second distortion, barely noticable) but i dont believe it affected the stream or recording at all. ill update back if it does. but audio and video is good! very good for a beginner streamer like me. even for a more advanced streamer it should still be enough.for a tutorial because i spent a little too long figuring the sound out:you need: 2 hdmi cords (it doesnt come with them), and one free usb or usbc slot on your pc. once you hook it up (fairly easy, look at diagram in the manual), right click your speaker icon in pc, go to sounds, find the device and go to its properties. i think under listening tab, enable the checkmark to be able to listen to it. Then select your audio device (headphones, speakers, etc). this allows you to hear your pc and the game. press apply then you should be able to hear it. for obs, its very simple. add a video capture source and an audio input source. i would do some test recordings to check everything.

It works, but it you barely bump the capture device, or the cables wiggle a little, you lose signal. But I was able to stream to Twitch with only a few minutes of set up, it's pretty straight-forward with OBS. The instruction manual... half the settings you're supposed to adjust are printed gray on gray, so you can't actually read what you're supposed to do.Will try later to see if I can stream from my original Wii using the Wii2HDMI adaptor.I guess for such a cheap option its fine, and I just wanted to give it a try, so it's alright for now but I stick with it I may upgrade in the future.

5 out of 5 Stars (5)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (5/5)[VALUE] (5/5)[EASE OF USE] (5/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (5/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]This compact capture card is excellent for capturing gameplay from a Nintendo Switch (or any other HDMI outputted source). The design is elegant, featuring a sturdy case reminiscent of an external hard disk drive (HDD).It is plug and play, requiring no specific drivers, and remains cool during operation, although it is best used in a well-ventilated area. Being the small size it is, it is portable and easily fits into a case or backpack. It only needs a source HDMI cable, an output HDMI cable (not included), and a USB 3.0 cable (included) to connect to your computer for capture recording. With two 3.5mm ports, one for headset sound monitoring and the other for microphone input for game/video audio commentary, it offers versatile functionality. Being able to add a commentary to the source stream is handy, as it offers a more real-time feel.Initially, I found the lack of direct audio output a bit frustrating compared to my other capture card. However, adding the audio as a mic/aux input channel in OBS Studio resolved this with no lag or sync issues to speak of between the gameplay and recorded output. The video quality is excellent in my opinion with no noticeable lag or sync issues. Playing pinball, using the recording source, I experienced no delay, thereby demonstrating superb device performance. I tend to test capture cards using the same Pinball game because lag is quite pronounced if present when playing a game that requires a degree of reflexes. All in all, I am impressed with this device which can be used with any HDMI output device and a laptop with a USB 3.0 port. My wife would like to create a setup to record ASMR videos, and this capture card is the device to help her make that possible. The video quality matches the source and, at a fraction of the cost of other major brand name capture cards, it offers great value. My only concern is its longevity, but I will update this review if its performance changes over time.In summary, I highly recommend this capture card for its quality, ease of use, video quality, compatibility with OBS Studio, and excellent value for money. In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

Very functional. Did not test 4k, but I am able to stream through OBS at 1080p, using my Xbox and capturing with a modest 400$ laptop just fine. I can't speak for higher end, but for budget, this is a great purchase.

I was looking at getting this capture card to record videos from my Nintendo Switch, which this capture card supports. The capture card itself is pretty simple, it has HDMI in and HDMI out ports, it uses USB 3.0 for its connection to the PC and has a 3.5mm jack for the mic and audio input. The setup of the capture card is straight forward. Your device, in my case the Switch, goes into the HDMI input and the HDMI output can be used to connect the output of the device to a monitor or display of some kind. The capture card is then connected to the PC and you should be able to connect to the card as the capture device in OBS. Installing the card was very easy, I just plugged in the usb 3.0 using the cable provided and it was detected and drivers were installed. Though I would say this is kind of where the ease of setup ended. When connecting the capture card to the PC, you have to connect the HDMI I/O first then connect the USB 3.0 to the PC. If done in the opposite order the capture card will not be picked up by OBS, which I ran into at first. I was unable to get the capture card to be detected by OBS until I restarted my PC. Once that was done I was able to see the capture card and then I was able to see the output of my switch in the OBS view. The other issue I had with the capture card is that the HDMI output seems to be mandatory to allow it to work with the switch. Since I didn't try this with other devices I'm not sure if it'll be the same with all devices. With the switch I was able to see the output in OBS but since I wasn't using the HDMI output I could not do anything in the view. The switch would not react to any of my controllers because it was not outputting to any display and since I don't have a monitor that accepts HDMI it was difficult to get the switch connected to my TV again to get the card working. The card also seems fairly unstable, I was changing some settings in OBS and it lost the capture card. There was no way for me to get the card detected again until I restarted my PC. If I was streaming instead of recording and had to restart the PC if OBS loses the card then I would have to restart my stream as well which feels very inconvenient to have to do.Once the card was working where I had everything connected and the output was coming up on OBS and I was able to connect my controller and send input commands, I was able to record a few videos of the games I was playing on the switch. It was able to record the video and audio coming from the game, I did not have a mic connected to the capture card because my mics are usb and not 3.5mm. There was very little latency issues that I could see and the gameplay was the same as what I was seeing on the TV.Overall the card works but has issues, if you're looking to record the output of a switch just make sure you have a display to send the output to, since it seems without it the capture card doesn't fully work. I do think the setup and installation was fairly easy.

I bought a cruddy $6 dollar card, and well- got what I paid for. Bought this to replace it and it works perfectly. It's cute and small and works exactly as it's intended. I notice some slight amounts of lag but it's not enough to really complain. Hooked it up to my PS3, Switch, and PS5 to make sure it will work for what I need. Easy to use, somewhat good video quality? I wouldn't call it 4K, but it does get the job done. Audio sounds amazing however. All and all- it works probably as well as the $100 dollar ones? The value is way better in my opinion. You honestly don't need to put yourself in debt to capture your gaming. Enjoy!
