The blanket is soft and warm. The cord could be a bit longer if I want to use it in the car like it's intended. We don't have a place to plug it in for backseat riders to use it. And the cord really should be longer for thoae that need to plug it in by the passenger in front and let the kids use it in back. It just barely reached and has no slack to use it. Great for the passenger in front though. My other issue is that it doesn't get warm enough. It basically gets weak like a blanket that you've used for a while but not really warm like a low level heating blanket usually is.

This took quite a while to arrive, but it's worth the wait because it is potentially life saving in certain situations. Also great for campers or RV glamping ~with the right kind of connection.We have all heard the stories of people who become stuck on a highway during a bad weather incident, or an accident ahead blocking traffic. With this heat-blanket you don't need to worry about freezing in your car or running out the gas tank trying to stay warm. Plug it into the vehicle cigarette lighter connector and stay warm until you can get moving again or until help arrives. If you need to recharge your car battery you can start it occasionally so the alternator can do it's job, and save on gasoline.Unlike some others, this one does NOT have a thermostat control, and it is made from two layers of medium weight fabric.It is not super soft, but not uncomfortable. This arrived without any sewn in labels for fabric content, but it has no odors. The fabric is a fleece-type.The heat cording inside is not thick and heavy, or too lumpy/bumpy.This will roll and store well in your vehicle for any emergency use, or maybe just to cuddle a young one while on a long drive.One should always be prepared, this is an awesome addition to any emergency prep or bug-out kit.
