We could only ever get the top half of the blanket to get very warm at all and even that wasn't all that warm. The wires running through the blanket are vary obvious and a bit hard. It's also silly that that isn't any kind of timer mechanism, if it's plugged in, it's on. Timers are pretty standard now on all heating blankets as you don't want to leave them on too long. Really this is just not a good product even at half the price.

My son is a drilling rig driver and always out in the super cold in WY or the Dakotas. This has been a great gift for him to have in his truck. Very happy with it
