I have bit had the opportunity to run these on other materials, but do far these shred thru poplar hardwood. I am using a WEN rotary tool with only 3 amps, but the responsive cutting from these bits is worth the spend. I recommend them!

Use these with my Milwaukee die grinders. First the positive, these things will go to town on cleaning material up. Smoothing down welds, getting a tad more room on a hole diameter, or cleaning off cutting flash, they get the job done and seem to be holding a very good edge overall, even after being a bit abusive with them while cutting. Now the negative, the shanks on these are a tad bit large. Have to take the collet completely out of the grinder to install the burr bit, so it does take a bit longer when changing bits out than it should. Overall 4 stars!

I'm very satisfied with this kit, it's perfect for the DIY'er looking for some medium duty carbide burrs that won't break the bank. I bought them primarily for cylinder head porting and decided on these one's as they seemed like a good middle of the road option. Keep in mind, these aren't exactly made for aluminum, so they will clog up if you use them for this purpose. To help avoid that, use some cutting lube or grease on them and run your tool at slower speeds to keep the heat down. My personal secret sauce is Boelube 70307 which is downright witchcraft and sorcery when it comes to keeping the burrs sharp and effective without having to speed up your tool. Just dip the bit in every couple minutes and not only does it keep them from clogging, but it also seems to protect them and keep them sharp.Anyway, back to the burrs. I can't attest to how well they'd hold up in a professional shop or an abusive environment, but I can tell you that they make short work of LS cylinder head ports. The fact that you get 10 different cutter types for the price of one professional quality burr, really makes these a DIY'erschoice. Even if they only last me two or three sets of heads, they will have been well worth the money.
