I have never had luck with after market Carburetors but this one seems to works flawless. The OEM Carb was four times the cost. For now the bike starts up with no leaks.

My experience was like many others. My Kodiak was running eratcaly spitting, sputtering and slow to return to idle. The cost of a rebuild kit vs a new carb made this purchase an easy decision. After installing this carb it fired right up and ran smoothly, only a couple minor adjustments. Fires right up every time. Word of advice, treat fuel with a stabilizer like Stabil 360 and turn off gas valve and run carb dry if not being used regularly. The only issue I can report is the air filter did not work on my 2001 Kodiak, way too small, not matter, I ordered a new one and had it the next day.

This carburetor by Tang made my 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 450 run like new. I checked out the Yamaha dealer to purchase one from them, the price of $275.00 dollars plus tax, thiswas way too much for me to hand over. I started searching online for a cheeper option and settled on this Tang carburetor on Amazon. I'm happy I went with this one. It's a simple swap, the quad started right up, I adjusted the idle, finished putting the body plastics on and took the quad into the forrest. $48.00 you can't go wrong.

Works well especially for the price. The extras with it are also a bonus. The only issue was the air filter was too small otherwise it would be a five star review.

Got the carb kit in a speedy 2 days from when I placed it. The Fuel filter was completely cracked in the box so that is scrap. Not sure what the Air filter sponge fits, but it's not my Yamaha 2006 Kodiak 450 4x4. There is an include smaller 1/12" Dia. x 1-3/4" filter that must be for some other brand of ATV.After install, and a little idle speed adjustment the carb worked awesome. I did find that the throttle cable is a bit longer in the sleeve, and there is not enough adjustment at the carb nut and at the throttle lever to take the slack out no matter what I do. Still trying to figure it out, might need to order another Throttle cable. (Unless someone has any input)Over all I am happy with the Carb and will contact Tang to see about the inline gas filter being cracked and let you know. I would buy from them again.
