Used with my 1965 VW type 2. I have dual Empi 40mm carbs with that central bolt that holds the filter. Used a Pringles can as an adapter for this. Works better than the other gauges that block off the flow.

Does the job. Made adjusting the smaller duel carbs on a 1600 air cooled vw easy. Fit the 34 EMPI carb kit without any issues.

I bought these little buggers to aid in balancing the carburetors on my 50-year-old BMW twin motorcycle. Many people can do this job by ear, one carb at a time, and get a good result. My hearing, even with hearing aids, is no longer that astute, and these eliminate some of the guesswork. I consider them well worth the investment. With the adapter tubes that are provided, they fit snugly over the carburetor intakes, and you simply fiddle with the idle and mixture adjustments until the two readings are the same.
