  • These Reptile Basking Heat Lamps, Halogen 75w GU10 work well with our Reptile T5HO UVB + GU10 Basking Light Fixtures. The GU10’s compact size and efficiency enables mounting the streamlined fixture underneath the top screen mesh.
  • Selecting the wattage of the Reptile Basking Heat Lamp, Halogen GU10 determines the surface temperature of the basking spot. For example, we aim for 110-120 degrees with bearded dragons as measured with an IR Surface Temp Thermometer on a basking rock. Which wattage depends on several factors; the terrarium height and size, the ambient room temperature and in some locations, the season (summer/winter).
  • Whichever wattage is selected should be checked initially with a surface temp thermometer, and seasonally verified. A 20L should take a 50w or 35w, 36x18x18 start with a 75w, 36x18x24 a 75w and a 50w, 48x18x18 start with a 75w, 48x18x24 a 75w and a 50w or another 75w, 48x24x18 a 75w and a 50w, 48x24x24 two 75w’s. A fixture with a second basking socket gives the flexibility of fine-tuning or seasonally adjusting by adding another bulb.

The bulb itself didn't last that long. It's a very clean setup vs huge dome on top. But if your terrarium is over 40G get the dual bulb setup. Delivery was not so fast, so order extra.I initially left one star review because USPS lost it. But after that I was able to speak with Amazon customer service and they are mailing a replacement. Hopefully I get it. To be continued I guess....

Knew I wanted this light set up the minute I discovered it. Our bearded dragon loves the basking area and we've definitely seen a change with the in-the-cage UV light. I'd recommend this to everyone. We have a 36" cage and the 22" is perfect. Packaging was secure and the item was delivered as described. Would definitely order again. A Carolina Custom Cages enclosure is on my wish list... whenever that happens I will definitely be using this light system.

Small but so powerful!!! When I saw it I thought this is ridiculous.. it won't put out enough heat.i was WRONG! Big goings come in small packages
