Your cart is empty.This Reptile T5HO UVB Standard Light Fixture provides UVB in a streamlined fixture that is easy to mount underneath the habitat’s top screen mesh. The 22” model will fit terrariums 36” or wider with the power cord attached. The GEN 2, 22” model will fit terrariums 24” or wider with the power cord attached. Power cord (with on/off switch), two under-screen mounting clips and hardware; 2 wood screws and 2 small nuts and bolts. Additional set of clips with hooks; they allow mounting with the 2 cable ties; heat-stabilized, 6.6 nylon. These are the best fixtures that we’ve ever used for our reptiles’ UVB requirements! This T5HO (high output) fixture gives superior performance because of its high output electronic ballast and its high-efficiency silver reflector. UVB is necessary for your reptile’s synthesis of vitamin D3, which is essential for the effective metabolism of dietary calcium in its bones and blood. We prefer the UVB output from linear fluorescent tubes because this way it’s possible to cover 2/3’s of the habitat area; that way the reptile is benefiting from UVB exposure as it moves about the habitat. This fixture is a superior addition to the habitats of bearded dragons, Rankin dragons, horned toad lizards, uromastyx, most other desert reptiles, small turtles and tortoises. Animal should be no closer than 10” directly under the fixture and no closer than 6” diagonally from the sides or ends of the fixture.

Lightweight, easy to install with various brackets and screws for most applications. I mounted mine to the top of my bearded dragons cage and it stays put. long enough cable to reach to the outlet. Great quality.

This has been great for my yellow bellied slider. Came in the a very protective casing and with the correct bulb t5ho. I would recommend to any other reptile lover. (ʘᴗʘ✿)

UPDATE: I was able to finally get the light in the socket more securely so will give it another try before returning. The end piece was sticking out so i pushed it in and it seems to have resolved the issue. I'll update after I give it a longer trial. ***Was hopeful about this light after a reptile youtuber showed it in a lighting video. I was hesitant due to so few reviews. Should have went with my gut. Upon arrival & unboxing things looked ok but the light prongs were loose and moving. Plugged in and it lit but within 10 min went off by itself. So I turned, removed bulb, reinstalled, locked it. The one end of light just doesn't have a snug connection and shouldn't be loose and move. So I don't trust it to be of good quality and don't want issues down the road. So I only used it for that 10 minutes and opted to return it to avoid potential issues. Those kinds of lights should lock into place and not move around in the socket.

This is such an amazing cheap alternative to what repti sells on their site, and it works amazingly!! I definitely recommend buying this for your scaly friends!

At first, I was concerned that the bulb packaging was empty. But, I quickly discovered, it was inside of the fixture. There are two "QC" stickers, on the order. I noticed, that the seller took time to verify the bulb worked, BEFORE shipping it. I super appreciate this! I've had to return to PetSmart, many times, for faulty bulbs.The setup was quick and easy. The only parts that may have been difficult was only due to the quality of the product. (Ie: snapping the reflector onto the fixture -- which would have been simple, if the quality was crap). I found the instructional video to be incredibly useful. Thank you, to the seller, for adding this portion.It has been mounted and operated for just over 24 hours. So, I can't speak to performance quite yet. However, if I don't update this review, you can assume that it's working great! And, although it was a bit pricey, you get what you pay for. It's a solid purchase, and I've got no regrets. My beardie is very happy, with his newest setup.

This light was a great bang for my buck! Typically in store you pay a little more and the look is just big and bulky and the output is poor, but not this one! Great quality, looks great, small and easy to install to our enclosure. It’s been a couple months and it’s still going strong!
