I wanted to upgrade my Tacoma to have CarPlay like my other vehicle and the task was daunting. It was either buy an aftermarket headunit and have to deal with crimping and soldering or buy an OEM Toyota head-unit with CarPlay integrated into it, which is pricey.In comes in this product to save the day for me after much research! It is truly plug and play for my Tacoma, it was a couple of connectors to pair with the factory harnesses and organizing the cables behind the head-unit after the installation and that’s all, CarPlay works flawlessly and I keep the the original functions from the factory and a big one was I get to retain the backup camera video and it works as intended and like new!Great sound quality as well, which I realize can be hit or miss but this didn’t disappoint in any regard, it exceeded my expectations!

Installation was easy but using it is not that easy. There are times when the option to connect to bluetooth popped up but normally it doesnt. The other thing I didnt like is that the radio screen is not clear and not much works if you have an Android phone. I'm getting ready to remove the unit from my truck because my choices are no music if I use the unit or dont use the unit and I can listen to what I want. The value for the money is not good.

J'ai installé cet adaptateur Carplay dans ma voiture, super facile à mettre en place et ça marche plutôt bien pour les appels et la musique. Par contre, des fois il faut rallumer la voiture pour que ça se connecte, et l'affichage est pas très net. Pour le prix, je m'attendais à mieux, mais ça fait le job sans changer tout le stéréo.Les ✅ de l'article : 📗 C'est super pratique, ça intégre direct les fonctions de ton téléphone avec l'écran de la voiture. 📗 C'est plus sûr parce que tu peux tout faire à la voix sans quitter la route des yeux. 📗 Le son des appels et de la musique est vraiment de bonne qualité. 📗 Tu l'installes en deux temps trois mouvements, pas besoin de toucher à rien d'autre. 📗 Ça garde le style de ta voiture mais ça rajoute des trucs super modernes.Les ⛔ de l'article : 📕 Des fois, faut redémarrer l'appareil pour que ça reconnecte. 📕 L'image sur l'écran est pas top, on voit que c'est pas du HD.👉 Conclusion : 🎌 C'est top pour utiliser ton téléphone en conduisant, avec un bon son et tout, mais des fois ça bugue un peu.

Easy to install and gives Carplay to stock Rav4 multimedia without using a new screen. I like that the car still keeps its stock look and feel. The device just stays inside the center console behind the screen without any attachment at all. You can use ziptie to tie it to anything in the back that doesnt move and it will stay put. Installation was straightforward since you just remove whatever was connected to the stock screen and install to this device. The screen brightness and resolution took a while to adjust though. Due to the resolution of the stock Rav4 screen, you have to do alot of adjustments to get it looking decent. You can use my settings for almost perfect Carplay feel! Starting on the car automatically starts the carplay within 2 seconds which is great.

I have 3 dedicated Car Play Alpine head units. Those have a crisp sharp display. This one does work, it takes a little longer than normal to show up after starting the car. You cannot go BACKwards to adjust sound settings once the interface takes over, such as, Fader, or Bass and Trebel adjustments. And most disappointing is the display output is 640x480 and it just is NOT clear. It's like I need to go to the eye doctor because it's just not crisp. It will get me by but not perfect.

Had it installed for about 2 hours. Sometimes it would connect, sometimes it wouldn't. Had to keep turning the car off and back on to try to get it to work. Was hit or miss each time. Not worth the hassle.

Pretty solid option for adding Carplay without changing your entire stereo and it is better than those little USB conversion dongles. Installation is pretty easy, , just a few plugs and than tuck the box under the dash and you're good to go. It does kind of hijack your radio if your phone is connected so you have to disconnect your phone to get to the AM/FM functions. Other than that, this thing is pretty awesome.
