Casio's Privia digital pianos are renowned for their authentic playability and lifelike sound. Now, the PX-S1000 brings a fresh new design to the Privia series, bringing smart technology into your musical life. With its sleek glossy panel and unibody chassis, the PX-S1000 evokes a high-end acoustic grand, in a svelte modern design that's not much larger than the keys themselves. The touch sensor controls are revealed only after the power button is pressed and are easy to see in any light. They fade away when powered off, leaving only a clean, seamless top panel. And thanks to Casio's newly designed fully weighted Smart Scaled Hammer Action keyboard, the PX-S1000 provides uncompromising piano touch with a proprietary key scaling system that reproduces the characteristics of each of the 88 notes, while ebony and ivory key textures ensure confident, comfortable playing in any climate.

The onboard speakers produce a pleasant sound, although I believe the experience is significantly enhanced when using high-quality headphones. However, the key aspect is the enjoyable action, complemented by a textured keybed that provides a more authentic feel to an acoustic piano. One of my preferred features is the ability to adjust the brightness of the samples for improved clarity. A drawback of this digital piano is that the key action can be somewhat noisy, which may be bothersome during quiet play. Nevertheless, it remains a commendable model that is a reliable choice.

I recently upgraded from 61 key to this 88 key Casio px1000. The quality of the sound is way better and the weighted keys add emotions in the music. Love it!

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I've had this piano now for about a year and I love playing it. I love the response. And it has a very decent live sound. I like the fact that it has midi control off and I can use it as a controller keyboard. That was an extremely important feature for me to have. I would definitely buy this piano again. But I'm glad I don't have to because this one's working great!

The sound is awesome and so sweet. The dynamics of the keys is very similar to actual piano - so great for students learning proper piano. My 8 yr old is able to play easily. The piano looks beautiful. It doesn’t have many sounds and changing metronome sounds etc is a little complicated as there is no screen.

At just 9 inches deep and 24 pounds, this compact and fully weighted 88-key portable piano is perfect for any serious composer or arranger working with notation programs like Finale or Sibelius. You also no longer need an external MIDI Interface, such as MUTO Fastlane. Instead you just plug your USB cable from your computer into the back of this keyboard and update your software, since the interface is built into the piano. While Casio emphasizes the ability to learn, teach, and perform on the PX- S-1000, another reason why it's an excellent professional tool for composers and arrangers is that it easily lays right in front of a computer screen with plenty of room to place studio monitor speakers on both sides. In fact, it's the most compact and fully weighted 88-key MIDI keyboard currently available. (While I loved my 75-pound, 27-year-old, Yamaha Clavinova P-100, I gladly replaced it with this beauty.)My only suggestion would be that Casio includes detailed instructions and a video displaying how this outstanding devise can be used by professionals.

I was excited to get this keyboard, and I love the texture on the white keys...but the sound of the primary piano voice was boxy sounding and had a distinct harsh electronic feel in the middle octaves. Low bass was great as well as the treble, and if the middle sounded similar I would have kept it. Unfortunately I am returning this today and have already replaced with a Yamaha P515 which is light years better (at twice the price though)

Got this piano in white. I needed to upgrade after my previous Williams Rhapsody 2 piano broke while moving. The Casio PX-S1000 arrived in excellent packaging and about a week faster than what I thought.Right out of the box, all I had to do was plug it in and begin playing. The keys feel great with the simulated ebony and ivory. It's extremely light, and I'm looking into getting the carrying case that Casio carries for this keyboard. It came with a damper pedal and music stand that easily slides into two slots on the back of the keyboard. The ambient hall setting sounds AMAZING. As someone who's played piano all my life, I highly recommend this keyboard for both beginners and professionals.Sound quality is great, looks great, and feels great.

I bought this particular model because I loved the red finish! Key weight and response is quite good. The sound through the built-in speakers is not-so-good, but through my Bose headphones it sounds great. No regrets. It’s a very good instrument to keep us in practice when we are away from our baby grand. Recommended!

Feels and sounds great when hooked up with a speaker or headphone. The built-in speaker is not crazy impressive not good enough. The key - towards the end of the keys, it’s is harder to press down, compare to my real piano. But for practice purpose, it’s the perfect size!

Love the color! My son was practicing on an old piano that sounded terrible. We love the classic piano sound and the ease of the keys. Such a great piece.

I play 7 years many pianos, digital and acustic, new and old. This one I bought for home and I can say it is the best I ever had. Escpecially I enjoy keys, they are very pleasant and soft, sound could be probably a little bit more rich, but then the price would be higher. I checked the price in my home country, it was 250$ more (totaly 850$), so here at Amazon if you buy for 600$ I think it is the best deal and quality. Enjoy!
