This mat is a good size and it is very absorbent and great quality. I use it for my kitten, I place her snack, and water bowls on it. I really like that her crumbs all stay on the mat and not on my floor. It is a excellent mat and i recommend it.

I ordered this mat as a pet feeding mat to put under a water and dog food bowl. But it is a little bit smaller than expected so we are choosing to use it as a child’s mat for crafts and food, because it is super cute. I love the little heart insert detail.It is super flexible and easy to roll up to store. But if you have an animal that has claws, it could get scuffed up pretty easily or if you have kids that are using cutting materials, it might get scuffed up but…that would be the purpose to protect your floor or table.I also ordered it for the advertised raised lip on the side, to keep any liquid or food from spilling out over the sides, but it really isn’t that functional. It says raised lip or sides, but for us liquids easily spill over.It did come with an interesting gift, a tiny little bib. My kids are using it for dolls as it doesn’t fit on the dog.It is a good value for the price and has smooth silicone. That doesn’t let anything slide off, like the bowls so if you’re looking for something that’s small, for maybe a smaller pet I would recommend this.

I have three dogs and wanted to get them each a mat for their food, this one was for our English bulldog and her bowls are not that large (they are circular and decent size but not huge) and they barely fit on the mat. We did end up just getting a new one so this is used for one of the water bowls that we leave out all day for them instead of being used for under their personal food and water bowls at feeding time.

I got this in the pink for two girl kittens that I’ve adopted. It can be a little hard to find anything but grey colors so this is a nice pop of color. The silicone is nice and flexible which can be good or bad, depending on your point of view. If you pick it up too fast and there is food or water on it, it may spill all over the place. Other than that, I like the smaller size as I don’t want a mat that takes up too much space. It perfectly fits their small fountain with a little bit of space left over. I haven’t tried the bib on them yet but it’s cute and will be put on them when I feel like they owe me a smile.

I have to feed my two little dogs in separate areas but they do share a fairly large water bowl. And it is necessary to keep something underneath this bowl at all times not only to keep it in place but to keep the water off the floor. I was previously using a small towel (what a mess) and then a rubber-backed fabric mat which worked well for awhile, until it started getting scuzzy. Even washing it in the machine didn’t help much.So now I finally am trying a good ol’ silicone mat and I have high hopes for this one. The size is great, I love the pink color for my two girls, and it should be easy to clean - hopefully no more scuzz factor. The water bowl stays put and even though the edge isn’t very high I don’t see a problem with it.I am a little confused about the addition of the little “dog bib” with this order. It’s very cute but I can’t imagine putting it on either of my dogs. However, my little granddaughter loved it and has already put it on one of her dolls. So thank you for that!

This is the perfect little place mat for your messy pets. I gave 4 vs 5 stars as the lip isn't as pronounced in person as it was online and I was bummed as my cats are very messy with their water. That said, this is very thin (in a good way) and super easy to clean. Plus the light gray color just dissappears and you barley know it's there

I know this was advertised as a pet feeding mat, but we got it for a child's placemat. For both purposes, I think it will do the job, but it feels a little safer to me for using as a child's mat than as a cat's mat, as the silicone in the center of the mat is rather thin and the label says no knives, so I'd be worried that my cats, who tend to "dig" around their bowls to bury them for later, would puncture the silicone with their claws and eventually tear it. The child is less likely to be wielding sharp objects.As a craft mat, it will do the job. The color is perfect for us, a true baby pink, but it does (as with all silicone) collect every pet hair within a several foot radius. As we have a black cat, that's very obvious on this pale pink. It washes easily, however, and should protect the desk from accidental spills, either drinks or craft supplies. It's also truly anti-slip. She used it tonight for diamond painting and the trays were staying in place for once instead of sliding around as usual, so it should prevent at least some of the spills that would otherwise happen.While it does have a lip as advertised, I was under the impression that the raised edge would be higher. Might just have been my imagination, expecting something deeper like the tray we already used for the cats' water bowl, but the raised edge on this is perhaps the thickness of a penny. It would prevent a small spill from spreading, so should work nicely for children painting, but if a pet turns a water or food bowl over, this won't prevent a flood.As a pet mat, or a placemat for a child's snacks and crafting, the $10 price seems pretty fair for the current market value. The size is good as a placemat as well. I'm happy with what I received.Note: the included pet's bib is an interesting inclusion. I don't see any practical value whatever for actual pets, but it made for a cute photo op, and I'm sure it will end up on a doll.
