I purchased this for a large wire dog cage that I'm housing feral cats in. It was easy to install and great quality. Was also a great size so it does not take up much room. They haven't used it much yet so can't vouch for durability but seems to be made very well.

Silva had scratched through the cardboard base on her scratching post. Very happy that this replacement is available. Fits perfectly and is well made. Silva is happy to have a new scratching post. She scratches it frequently.

I would give this product 5 stars if the hardware was as advertised. In the pictures for the product it shows nice flat hardware on the outside of the cage where the scratching post is attached but the actual hardware sent causes the bolts to be sticking out and dangerous to damage your walls. I have this in the 2-level Critter Nation 162 cage for a kitten that needs to be in quarantine for 3 weeks. I wheel him around the house so he can be with us but I have to remember not to put the cage too close to a wall or doorway as the bolts that stick out will create damage. I don’t want to make the ends of the bolts stick inside the cage and risk the kitten having his paw pads ripped up.

Works great! Sturdy and doesn't take up a lot of room in the playpen. Useful when the kitty is in the pen and wants to exercise their claws and feet. My only problem with it is the lack of instructions. It was easy enough to figure out, but would be nice to have instructions to look at, to make sure you are doing it right. All in all, a great product that could be even greater!
