This is a great brush. It helps a lot especially if your cat is older and has started having trouble cleaning itself. It helps a lot with shedding.

not happy, it takes the hair out but the steam that don't work too will.

I was not a fan of this product on arrival. But Cat turned out to be a very big fan of this "steam brush". So, I "averaged" our opinions on the star scale.•Cat loved grooming with the bristle brush. Not at all freaked out by spray-related hissing or moisture.•The product charged quickly and filled easily. It fit very comfortably in my hand. Cleaned easily. Removed more Cat hair than expected. The price was fair.•My (negative) issues with this grooming tool reiterate other reviewers' observations: awful and useless instructions; useless "interchangeable" flat brush head; a mystery additive with no referenced ingredients; and the inaccurate misleading "steam brush" description. All that said, when Cat's happy so am I.

This is beautifully packaged and could be used as a gift for anyone with long haired house pets. You do not need to open the box like you do most boxes, the section pushes out to remove contents.I really like that it comes with 2 heads and the "conditioner." Comes with the brush head already attached. I will be able to refill conditioner bottle with fabric softener using a funnel.Tried right out of the box and kitty likes the brush without any steam.Charged overnight and filled it up with water (not using conditioner). Started brushing kitty and then turned on spray. Kitty was OK with it - until I lifted the brush off and she heard the spray. Once I switched to the pulse spray and only had off fur while it wasn't spraying, kitty was happy. But this doesn't get 5 stars because the heads and power cord are difficult to put in and take off. That probably means the item will continue to hold the heads for months or years. But with no instructions on how to remove the head, I might break it in trying to get it off. Also of concern, the product name says both "Steam Brush" and "Water Brush." And the description mentions both "The cat comb with steam is..." and "This cat spray comb releases..." This implies separate functions - when really they are the same function. So another star off for misleading name/description.

Curiosity had me at trying to see if this kitty cleaning brush was actually steam. Steam is hot and kitty's skin is sensitive so the thought that I would be steam cleaning her would seem extreme and cause burning. I think changing the descriptions to mist would make people more comfortable. I was relieved that is all it really is.The unit is cute, color and style. It charged relatively quickly and was easy to fill with water and the cleaning solution. It did concern me that one of the ingredients was sugar. Wouldn't that attract bugs and is it safe to digest when kitty is cleaning themselves after. As far as my kitty. She is incredibly furry and shedding a lot so I was surprised I was only able to remove a little bit of hair after using it. She tolerated it at first and even rolled over and let me brush her belly but then decided she had enough.Make sure you empty it. If you lay it on the plug end the liquid will drain and leak out. Also the brush head is quite frustrating to change out. I think a 4 star is being more than fair. I will try again and see if I have better results.

My allergies get really bad if my cats don't get a good cleaning at least once a month. at least. It's even better for me if they're cleaned once a week. That isn't really easy to accomplish because they loathe getting wiped down with a damp washcloth or paper towel.I was very curious when I found this and hoped it would make a difference but I wasn't going to hold my breath. I was so pleasantly surprised. First things first, it's not really steam because it isn't hot water or anything and it's just a continuous mist of water. Maybe actual steam would be more enjoyable for them though...anywho Of the 3 cats I have 2 of them loved the experience of being brushed with the "steam" on. The other 1 thinks she's in trouble and runs away. The 2 that let me though, they really got into it. It was so cute. They started rubbing up against it and rolling over on their backs so I could get their bellies.I kinda want to try another version to see if I can find one that works for my other cat. I am so happy with how easy this was to use and how well it worked for me. With them enjoying it, cleaning them once a week is much more realistic and actually doable. My allergies have been much better since getting this.
