This "CATPOWER 2.5 Gallon Wide Mouth Glass Storage Jars with Lids - Large Cookie Jars for Kitchen, Ideal for Flour, Rice, Sugar, Pasta, and Candy" is very large jar and exactly what we were looking for. It has a barrel like shape. The jar is cavernous and has a very large mouth for ease in putting things in or ouy. There are several scratches on the glass itself, but are not that noticeable. We will use it for various seasonal displays. The lid has an exceptional seal making it great for cookies or other food stuffs. It also looks great filled with Easter Eggs!Definitely RECCOMENDED!!👍👍👍👍

This jar is exactly what I needed for my kitchen! The wide mouth design makes scooping and filling easy, and the heavy glass lid ensures a secure fit and airtight. When I seen this I didn't really think bout the size of it. This jar is so big! I wasn't expecting this. The seal on the lid is amazing it definitely would keep freshness into whatever you use it for. The glass is thick and nicely made. I haven't personal decided what to keep in it yet. As of now it sits on the bar of the counter. You could even use this and turn it into a nice display. Over all I am happy with this jar and can't wait until an ideal comes to me. The handle is a nice size and makes it to easly open.

This was originally advertised as being full of cookies when purchased. After it had shipped, however, they changed the advertisement to say that it can be filled with cookies. Yeah, I should have realized that it was probably wrong, but honestly you never know. It sits on top of my refrigerator, empty.

This jar is bigger than I expected, and the wide mouth is really practical. My hand fits in easily, which makes it convenient for grabbing larger items. The glass feels solid and thick, so I’m not worried about it breaking easily. There’s a swirl in the lid that gives it a slightly handmade look, which I didn’t mind.The only downside is the seal on the lid. The plastic ring is pretty stiff and tough to get on the jar properly. I ended up just taking it off since I didn’t need an airtight seal for what I’m storing. It might be frustrating if you’re using it for food that needs to stay fresh, though.Right now, I’m using it in my bathroom to store bath bombs, and it works perfectly. It easily holds large ones, like the Lush brand. Overall, it’s a solid jar for storage or display, even if the seal could be better.

And here I thought I was going to be putting my dishwasher pods in there! No WAY! Not only would this thing take up most of my space, it would be a nightmare to open and close every time I wanted to wash my dishes! It's already so heavy I can't imagine having anything in there, I would be concerned I would chip my stone counter tops.Overall, it is a very nicely made, heavy duty, quality product for the money. But now I have no idea what to do with it so I shoved it in a corner until I find him a job.I'll tell ya what I won't be doing....I won't be putting pasta or pods in it like the ad photos showcase and suggest, in fact, all of those photos are VERY misleading. Expect the biggest freak of a jar you've ever seen!Even the photos I included don't do it justice, there is just no way to show the actual size of this with the photos I have. Let's put it this way, if I needed to scuba-dive in a pinch, this would fit over my entire head with room to spare! Giving a whole new meaning to jarhead.Minus 1 star for being a tad misleading on size, and can't use it for intended purpose. Most people *raises hand* don't have a clue how big 2.5 gallons is, so the photos should be more realistic.Also- the gasket that seals it is wonky, I am not sure how long it will serve it's purpose, it doesn't seem to consistently stay in place.
