This regulator/rectifier was unless straight out of the box. When I tested the diodes, there was no forward/ positive bias. I either received a defective part or a broken one. Either way, it did not work. I am going to think twice before ordering any electronic parts from Amazon.

The wiring that came with it was too long and didnt last more than 4 months ive owned it. Also has shorting issues. Maybe it was just this one i got but if it was the same with all the others id be shocked. Wiring also got cut/disconnected at the base of the recifier. So Idk. Maybe just this specific one has issues. It worked well for 4 months but now im out buying another.

Bought this to help fix a charging issue on one of my motorcycles. Replaced the stator at the same time, purchased elsewhere. Between the two of them, they almost fixed the issue, although the voltage with the engine running was still too low to maintain or charge the battery. Truthfully, I never bothered to check whether it was this regulator, the budget stator, or some combination thereof that was the problem...when the end result was that it still wasn't fixed, I just bit the bullet and ordered actual oem parts from the manufacturer. Because I did not troubleshoot to determine if the regulator was or was not part of the problem, I can't in good conscience give it one star, even though it really didn't work out for me, so I think the right thing to do is rate it 3 stars, representing the 50/50 odds that a budget-friendly part will work, as I suspect poor quality control is generally the case with such parts.

Easy fit, hooker right up with no problems. Worked like a factory part. Highly recommend.
