Have been using these scissors for almost 6 years! They really have performed well, stayed sharp, and been completely comfortable, and reliable. use these scissors pretty regularly both at work and at home. Generally only cutting standard paper/plastic packaging wrap, or thin cardboard, so nothing too extreme, though I have used a few times to cut food items while prepping. I I have had isssues with other inexpensive regular-sized scissors, but these CCR (like the band!) scissors are worth every penny, and I can recommend them 100%.

Ok have been using these for about a month now and the seem to be a solid pair of scissors. However there is one issue that frankly baffles me. If you try to cut by placing the paper of other item up close to the max open it will not cut. You. Must back up the scissors maybe 1/8 of an inch and try again. If you start 1/8 inch off the corner of the blades it works time. All in the pack are the same.

These scissors are awesome. I’ve purchased 4 packages over the course of the 1-1/2 years. One can never have enough scissors! Plus I get them on sale. Not one pair has needed replacement. Locations for use in the bathroom drawer, kitchen drawer, desk drawer, 2 areas in our garage, sewing kit. These scissors can handle a variety of uses. They are very nice to hold, easy to handle & use & the coloring is nice. They are smooth to the touch. They are sharp & stay sharp. I’ve given a package as a gift & have an extra for whenever needed. These have been the only scissors in my house for well over a year. I’m still using the scissors from the 1st package I bought. Very impressed. Great quality at an awesome price. Highly recommend!

I got tired of always having to go to the kitchen to get the scissors, because the need for them frequently pops up at inconvenient times when I just want them right on hand. Like when I go to open a new bag of dog treats and I tear it wrong, or I forgot to take the tag off the dress I just put on, or I’m finding the usually easy to hand-tear-open Amazon packaging tape suddenly stubborn. I want my giant bag of Sour Patch Kids NOW! Sure, it’s a little extravagant and indulgent to just buy a bunch of additional scissors instead of just sacking up and dealing with the very, very mild inconvenience and interruption of going to the kitchen, using them, and putting them back, but I like the satisfaction of immediate gratification! So now there’s a pair in the bathroom, on my dresser, in the study, and right by the front door, so I can open packages as soon as possible, or get that price tag I always forget until the last minute when I’m walking out the door. (That’s why there’s a big mirror there, too.) A pack of four is terrific, though maybe six would’ve been better, so there’d be one for the junk drawer and one for the other bathroom. Woops, might need to buy a second pack. I want to be dripping with scissors. These are excellent quality. They’re nice and sharp, as opposed to some old pairs I’ve had where you had to cut with a specific spot on the blades to get any results. I have always appreciated a good pair of scissors. As a preteen I recognized that my mom’s sewing scissors were much better quality than our regular household pair, so I’d borrow them (and never put them back.) My Mom got so fed up she banned me from touching her sewing scissors. I reacted by “running away”, which was really just me writing an angry “I’m running away” letter. Writing the letter was cathartic enough to avoid furtherfolly. But my point is, I care about quality scissors. The grips are very pretty, I like the two-tone look, and the gray with a pop of yellow. That pop of yellow is important for finding scissors when they’re in a junk drawer or the jar/holder where I store many of my makeup brushes. Plain gray would’ve been bad. I notice a lot of scissors have black handles; while that’s real classy and all, it’s not very practical for quick retrieval from crowded drawer or jar. Just an aside, a lil observation. Incidentally, our good kitchen scissors are stored in the knife block they came in, so though they’re black, they’re easy to find.I have had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was three years old, and it’s active in all of my joints, even my friggin’ spine, but my wrists and fingers are where I have the most trouble, either because I need them so much so I notice it more, or they’re the most damaged, or both. My wrists are actually fused in place and I cannot bend them, which freaks me out when I think about it so I try not to. But I will for the purpose of evaluating these scissors.I would prefer a smaller grip or handle or non-pointy-end, whatever you call it. I would love a pair with a grownup scissor business-end and child scissor non-pointy-end. My hands are very very small. (I’m petite so at least they’re proportional.) These handles seem especially large, and actually make the scissors harder to control. I have had to use both hands once, not gonna lie and say I didn’t, or lie by omission and just not mention it. That might be more the fault of my own skeletal shortcomings and whatever it was I was trying to cut. So for your typical able-bodied, sound-minded adult, I think these would do fine. Mighty fine.As an arthritic, I find the smoothness of the cutting mechanics extremely important. Both very new scissors and very old scissors can tend to stick or offer resistance, making it hard on the hand/hands. But these have not given me that trouble! They worked gracefully right out of the box, no need for warming up. Speaking of the packaging, no, I didn’t need scissors to get to these scissors! I pulled open the plastic at the seam. Which was a pretty cool fine-motor thing for my pitiful hands to do!In summation, I needed more scissors, I got more scissors, and they serve their purpose. I only gave 4 stars because they’re not as good as my mom’s sewing scissors circa 1990. Those were the best-cutting scissors ever, and they had the right kind of small handle. They were black with a red screw, by the way.
