It's good toy set made of quality materials.Unfortunately it is not suitable for any 'study' beyond play, even for 8 yr.old. Though 100x give decent image, 600x and 1200x are near to impossible to focus and see anything. Would be more useful if it had 40x and 200x instead.Unfortunately I can't return it as it was 'Santa's present' for my son. Wish I bought beginners microscope for comparable price instead.

It was a beautiful view. I opened it right away. I looked at the pollen sample and it was very clear.It came with everything. Nothing was scratched or damaged everything was where it was supposed to be. I give this a five star rating.

This is an incredible beginner set for a child interested in science. My son is 6 and has played with it all day. It is made of good quality material and at a great price. The carrying case is a great additional feature.

Piece of junk! This is the worst microscope I've ever used, or shall I say tried to use. I'm very skilled with scopes, and purchased this for my son as a beginner scope. After multiple attempts, the best view I could get was of very blurry colors (looking at a stained peripheral blood smear). It wouldn't focus correctly, didn't have nearly the magnification needed, the stage was a joke, among other issues. The light was in the wrong position relative to the stage, the light wouldn't come on unless it was in a certain position, but that position wasn't anywhere near where it needed to be aimed. Moving the slide on the stage was next to impossible. I've not tried a monocular scope before this one, and I never will again. It was really difficult looking with only one eye. I think I'd rather spend the money and get a binocular compound scope. In summary, it is a piece of junk. I'm going to spend a couple hundred dollars and get one that is at least adequate. This one isn't worth the money, effort, or frustration. I'm very disappointed in this product.

Arrived on time. Item was a present for my grandson (9 years old). He absolutely loves this microscope. The case is great for storing and protecting the microscope. Great piece for the grandson.
