These grease guns are a necessity for the proper upkeep of your chainsaw bar. You will find a very small hole at the end of your chainsaw bar that is near to the sprocket and that's where you use this. Just line up the end of the grease gun with the hole and press into it until grease comes out from under the chain. This grease gun seems to be made to mimic the Oregon chainsaw grease gun. It doesn't seem to be quite as well made as the Oregon, but if it gets the job done, and you can get it significantly cheaper than the Oregon, it is worth taking a chance on it.
