With little or no sanding and prep work required.

NOTE: Properly prep your piece prior to applying your paint. If your piece has a gloss coating we would recommend that you would lightly sand and wash with warm water & dawn soap/degreaser, followed with a dry rag to absorb the excess water.

Before apply your paint, make sure your piece is dry from prepping. Always apply your paint along the grain of the wood.
- Once paint is applied if second coat is needed; we recommend to lightly sand any imperfections before applying second coat (this will give a smoother surface).
- Distressing your piece; lightly sand the desired area, we recommend for best results use Chalk Mountains Angled Sanding Sponges which may be used in two different ways (wet or dry sanding)

I have used many brand name chalk paints. I love this paint it goes on so smooth with great coverage. It blends beautifully. It is the only chalk paint that does not bother my asthma. There is no odor. Highly recommend. I am a repeat customer.
