Absolutely love these stands. I always hate using tripod Speaker stands in a packed ballroom. Worry about a trip hazard.

I was in need of a single pole to mount lights on, and didn't want to have to buy two tripods, or an expensive monopod with feet. After many YouTube searches, I came across Chauvet DJ's FLEXStand.First off, the base of the stand is heavy — which is what you want — and has handles and adjustable feet for setups on uneven ground. The pole is 50mm (which is 2-inches) thick at the base, and 45mm (1.75 inches) for the extending part of the pole. Fully extended it's almost 8ft tall. The whole thing can be assembled WITHOUT any tools as well! Provided with your purchase, you'll have a bag for the pole, and one for the base. Use them. They'll help from keeping your gear from getting scratched up.Highly recommended!

I wanted to get away from tripods and I only had 1 left for my Gigbar 2. I didn't know these existed until I found this one mentioned in a DJ forum. Descriptions and photos can't portray the strength and stability of these units. Perfect for a mobile DJ! If you use the corner threads you can hide the entire base under your table. Add some Gravity Clips and you'll have the cleanest setup around. The base plate is very heavy so you will never worry about someone knocking over your lights or speakers. Did I mention that these eliminate the potential trip hazard?
