These little "garbage pails' were just what the doctor ordered. I used them in my garden not only when everything was planted in the ground, but also after I put things in buckets in a table. Once my squash grew taller, you can see how I utilized a cage to lift the pail up higher. Even after I moved the squash bucket into the garden to train it up the trellis, I continued to use the pail.Obviously, once the plants get to be a certain height, a different method will need to be utilized. That being says, I love these things!

These have worked well to protect my perennials while they become established. I spent substantial money buying flowers for my yard. There many kinds of animals around, and something was eating the young plants, endangering their survival. These cage cloches work perfectly. I bought a second set to protect more plants. They are sturdy so they can be reused indefinitely.

These protect pretty well, at least for what I need them for. I'm trying to protect herbs that actually aren't supposed to be outside yet. I put a blanket over them at night, but these plant covers keep the blanket from smashing the herbs. Theyr'e doing a good job at that. They're moderately sturdy. They're more sturdy if forces are placed on top of them, less sturdy if the forces are coming from the side. If from the side, the mesh is such that it'll just crush inward. So if you have a dog who's gonna be running into these, they won't survive. If you're putting a blanket over them with downward forces, they'll do just fine. The stakes are fine but I have a feeling that most animals would have zero problems getting under these as they are so light. I like the plant labels.
