This is a large umbrella stand box. You have to assemble the box form with screws but once it is fully assembled you can fill it up with sand. The size of this box stand is very large, it will hold a large market umbrella in place even in high winds. It took me about 20 minutes to fully assemble, takes a little while to screw all the large screws into position around the outer and inner edges of the box form. The design of this umbrella stand is good, it has wheels on one side so you can move it around on a smooth surface if needed. The umbrella post bolts into the bottom of the stand, but be aware that the bolt that attaches to the base arrives screwed into the pole, so you will need to take it out.All the other screws arrive in a separate bag. This stand says you can use water instead of sand but I was concerned the water might leak out of the stand. If I use sand it should not leak. The functionality of this umbrella stand works well, it does exactly as it is deigned to do, it holds a large market umbrella securely. I am very pleased I was able to get this stand, it is nice quality, looks good and is doing a great job at holding my large market umbrella in place.

This is a very nice outdoor umbrella base stand. It’s made of heavy duty recycled plastic. It’s easily filled with sand or dirt and has a filled weight of 176 pounds. All tools and instructions are included making it easy to assemble. It can be used as a closed base box or an open flower planter box simply by removing the box top. It has wheels and side handles making it easy to move around. It holds my 9 foot outdoor patio umbrella very well. It has 2 knob locks that can be tightened to hold the umbrella very stable and secure. It functions nicely making it a very durable sturdy umbrella stand. I recommend it.

You’ll need to supply your own weight to this stand. It’s super lightweight and ideally should had a bag of sand or rocks inside the umbrella stand. Easy to assemble; the wheels are available to move around but is quite small and not easy to move around especially if there’s a full load of gravel.

Really like this stand. I appreciate being able to take the sand out of the bag.It holds a good sized umbrella and although I have not tested in any sort of strong wind, I believe the issues would NOT be this stand. Recommend for larger umbrellas. It also provides a small place for drinks/food/phone etc that is not on the ground which is nice. Not having to have a second table is appreciated in a smaller space.

Living in a windy area, you need a beefy base to hold your patio/pool umbrella in place. This certainly fits the bill. I kind of like the blocky base - makes a convenient place to sit a book or a drink. But I also kind of don’t like the blocky base - as it’s QUITE difficult to move when full. Sure it has small wheels, but you’re still moving around a 150 lb box on tiny wheels. One other aspect of the design I’m not crazy about - it doesn’t clamp onto the pole as well as I hoped. You have 3 inserts, and two screws to hold it in place. Some other designs have a top that tightens and grips the base, like the one the Danish Umbrella Company Story.Overall, for my purposes, I think I like the Danish Umbrella Company Store version a little better. This style of umbrella holder is new to me and I’m impressed. It is beyond windy here in the Pacific Northwest at this time and I was unable to open the umbrella to photograph but it still looks so great in this stand. The fact that I can use it as a table, or planter is amazing. I filled it with dirt and put perennials in it with some bulbs to bring in spring. The size of this unit is impressive and the quality if good. I love the ability to move it around and so far no dirt leakage, can’t wait to put the umbrella in this summer. I feel the price is reasonable for the fact you get such versitility out of the product. Would recommend

It does its job well so far, but wouldn't trust moving it around as instructed due to the base being as thin of plastic as it is. It feels like the bottom may blow out if I tilt it onto the wheels for transportation.Luckily I don't plan on moving it much so it should be good. We'll see how long this plastic holds up in the FL sun

I've been looking for a planter with multiple functions like the C-Hopetree 3-in-1 Plastic Patio Market Umbrella Base with Rolling Wheels. Thankfully assembly was quick and went relatively easy. At this point it's a bit early for us to fill it and put outside just yet, as it's below zero with snow all over the ground. Regardless, the wheels allow you to tilt and move it around with ease, as tested on my back porch. Although the planter walls are sturdy, only time will tell how the sides will hold up to our microclimate that tends to be 10-15 degrees warmer in the backyard than it is everywhere else. Either way, I'm a big fan and appreciate the fact that it can eventually be used as a table too!
