Simple and easy install that would have taken 5 minutes had the hardware arrived without damage. Unfortunately one of the brackets was so bent the plastic locking mechanism would not freely slide as it should. The manufacturer's packaging isn’t well packed so it’s hard to say if it was damaged during shipping or if it’s poor quality control. I can see why someone else didn’t receive any hardware at all since the box isn’t sealed either.Anyway, in the end I straightened the bracket and it works fine, looks exactly as pictured. I knocked off stars for the manufacturer packaging being inadequate, unsealed and the hardware being bent. Could have been a 5 star if not for those issues.

The quality of this zebra blind is really good, it feels sturdy and well-made, and not at all flimsy, definitely not cheap. However, I can’t bring myself to recommend it to others due to one frustrating issue: it does not come with any accessories for installation. Not even the brackets, which are essential. While I personally wouldn’t mind if it were just the screws missing since we have plenty at home, but not having the necessary mounting hardware is both a major inconvenience and a major oversight. If you’re paying this much for a window blind, it should at least come with everything needed to install it. And from what I’ve seen, some customers actually did receive the accessories, only to find out that the screws didn’t even fit properly. That might not be a big deal for some people, but not everyone has the time to deal with installation issues or returns when it should have been simple and straightforward. It’s really disappointing because the blind itself is great, but the hassle of getting it installed makes it hard to recommend. If you don’t mind the extra work of hunting down the right accessories, or doing a round trip just to process a return, then it might be worth it. But if you’re looking for something that’s ready to go right out of the box, you might want to look elsewhere and save yourself from future headaches.

So this is a great product but there was a missing bracket. Customer service was so easy to work with to do an exchange and when I finally got the blinds it it looked amazing. So happy with this. Glides up and down so effortlessly

Looking to replace a window blind on one side of my home office, I was attracted to the look of these zebra blinds and the idea that the blinds were cordless. I wanted something that looked good but allowed me to determine how much light was let into the room. The first thing I want to mention is how easy it was to put up the blinds. It took me less than 10 minutes to put up the hardware and set up the blinds as needed. Once in place, I couldn't believe how much easier it was to use and how it helped regular the light in the room. I picked a very soft color for the window shade and I do love how it diffuses the light as it comes in the window. Additionally, this window shade functions easily. You really only need to pull the bottom up and down gently for it to work as needed. It's so simple! The final thing to point out is how good it looks. The quality of this shade is definitely part of the product. I've had no issues with pulling it up or down and even the kids can use it easily. I definitely would recommend it to anyone thinking about using zebra blinds in their homes as these are very nice.

Since half a star isn't an option I clicked 4 stars rather than 3 as I don't feel the issues with these are great enough to warrant the lower option rather than higher one. With that said, yes installation is quite easy once you have the correct hardware. The style is quite nice looking, and I found these to have a much higher quality appearance than the "cheap" look I was afraid they might have. They block a surprising amount of light from coming in even though the gaps on either side are quite large despite having followed the sizing recommendations. I can't really fault the gaps in sizing as it seems to be a common theme with any style of shade type window coverage. Once installed, they function quite easily.. it's pretty much a basic thing to operate.. pull down to lower or lift up to raise. My only issues are with a couple things I noticed, one of which others have mentioned. It's true that the hardware included doesn't work completely with two of the screws being unusable when mounting the brackets. Each bracket has two holes for mounting, one of which is located on the white plastic tab that allows the shades to clip into place. The size of the screw heads are indeed too large in diameter to fit through the plastic. I spent some time trying different ways of angling or attempting to force the screws through before using others I had on hand. Before doing so I did attempt to try to see if using the screws over the plastic tab could be correct as it seemed ridiculous to assume that the seller would include hardware that could only work if it was mounted the way it fit.. well again the size of the screw head creates too much obstruction to allow the shades to be clipped into the rear of the brackets meaning it isn't possible to use two of the screws towards the front of the brackets period. For me.. it really is ridiculous that something costing $50.14 doesn't even come with the right hardware needed to install it. That makes me wonder how the product was ever initially tested or maybe it wasn't. For someone like me finding a spare screw isn't a huge deal, but not everyone is just going to have an over abundance of extra screws lying around and I'd imagine it could be very frustrating realizing you needed extra parts to use these after receiving them.. especially for those who don't have them already on hand. The issue of the hardware combined with the cost is kinda a problem for me.. yes there's a 10% off coupon currently, but it's hard for me to recommend anyone try this at that price when I know I can get perfect custom fit style 2 in faux window blinds for about the same price.. especially since they come included with everything needed to correctly install. The reason I'm not calling it a lesser rating is because I'm still quite fond of them now that they're installed, although I will say I only recommend to those who order while knowing ahead of time that the hardware issue will be a problem. So if that doesn't bother you and the price seems fair.. then you might be happy with your purchase by giving these a try.
