I now know why you don’t buy wood online. 3/4” dowel rod had a 1-1/2” bend over the length. Garbage! It’s hard to see in the pictures, but it’s junk if yo want to use it for something that requires more than a 6” piece

I needed a hardwood dowel that I could tap to hold a cutting blade . This did the trick.
